Yesterday, I toured another section of the Sepulveda Basin with the Army Corps of Engineers and Hope the Mission, an area in desperate need of attention. I believe in practical, long-term solutions that truly help people rebuild their lives. Spending nearly $900,000 per person isn’t compassion, it’s a waste of taxpayer money. For a fraction of the cost, LA can invest in mental health, substance abuse treatment, job training, and stable housing so every Angeleno has a real path to recovery. Our city leaders must choose a smarter path forward and stop spending billions with no results.$

Her outdated philosophy of housing first has resulted in billions spent on ineffective programs that fail to get people off our streets and into recovery and long-term sobriety.
