The term "spintronics" already has a definition, and it has nothing to do with gears, but with electron spin angular momentum, a fraction of the reduced Planck constant ħ. Re-appropriating long-established scientific and engineering terms does not help children with science.

Why? It is a dead end educationally. The entire scientific and engineering world uses fluid flow as the analogy for electricity, & this conflation to chain drives seems like a really terrible idea. Fluid flow much better and more intuitively describes voltage and current.
