It’s one of those songs you remember exactly where you were when you heard it.

I don’t recall the exact scenario. I was 12 and my bro put it on. Maybe it was on casette in the car. But I knew immediately something had happened. Shifted completely. And I knew exactly NOTHING in general. Indescribable experience to kids today.

Love this story.

Best reaction was from Kurt's mom after listening to the album:"My god! You guys are nowhere ready for what is about to happen!"

We really need another music movement, not necessarily grunge--but something dangerous and authentic--shake things up again. Everything is too safe. And the generation driving culture are all clueless.

Makes you feel kinda proud like a badge of honour I never wore just one shirt ever a again

🤣

I have a vivid memory of the moment I heard this song for the first time - a fiend had lent me the tape and I put it on as I washed the dishes - I was in grade 10. It kinda seemed like a reflection of us, like an answer.

100% this song changed everything. Maybe the greatest song of our generation!

I remember the morning after at school. All us metal heads didn’t know what it was. All we knew was metal’s days were probably over. At the time at least.

Glam metal was over.

Beyond over rated

Yep, you got that 💯 Rewired for life

I think of this everytime I listen to this song now

I precisely remember where I was and what I was doing when I heard it for the first time. It changed everything. The only other time this happened to me was when I heard Lana Del Rey's album Born to Die.

I remember the day vividly watching Much, had the premiere of Jesus Christ Pose by Soundgarden, then this. Completely melted my brain.

I literally thought oh shit rock music is going to be grim for a few years then. Makes you want a shower.

One of the best songs EVER

Tough to explain to people who weren't there tbh

Hits differently in a major key

Kurt was gone too quickly

Song of a generation

I miss music videos

Taped off of cnfy and brought it to my hockey game that night. We played it over and over and over again. Everyone’s first time hearing it and it blew us away. We still lost the game but won a new era in music.

Strombo I’ve always been a fan of yours from your talk show to….. Nirvana was the start to rewire my brain required more than just one band or sound

Timeless Still in rotation Actually playin in background On Chez 106 🍁

I hated it. I like a few of Nirvana's other songs though.

George, you're 50 years old. It's time to stop saying things like "dropped"

I'm in the first shot playing with my hair.

Its Wild Thing sped up. Just for context George. Listen closely.

I remember where & when I heard this for the first time. But I never really got into Nirvana much until In Utero, which I think is their best by a mile. In Australia as a teenager at the time, Pearl Jam & Soundgarden seemed to be the sound people gravitated to.

Qué reglas cambió?

Wasn't there something in the epstein files about Curtis suicide being faked? It was actually a homicide done by his nutty GF???? I sill listen to Narvana Unplugged all the time!!!!

Yes! I was at a Summer camp, maybe age 10 or 11 — just beginning to form my popular music tastes. The counselors played this at a social — hearing it activated like 10,000 neurons and I was forever changed!

It hasn’t aged well for me but it was fantastic 35 years ago. We all pretended we were teens again 😵

I heard the first portion of the song in 2006 coming off the school bus and almost wanted to stay on the bus.

And you’ll never hear music like this ever again because young white males have been emotionally castrated. They’re not allowed to emote or have any feelings or aggression. They’ve been told they are shit since birth and number out on technology.
