Kyle Shanahan on Curtis Robinson: “He's really worked to get better each year, and he's a very talented guy. I think when he came here, he hadn't played in a system like this for a while. It took him a little bit to kind of pick that up, but we so believed in him as a guy and his talent level that after a year, you could start to see it clicking. He became a big asset on special teams, and last year was the first time that we really believed he was going to step in there, really contribute at linebacker at a high level. It was actually kind of a sad story, but it was about 20 minutes before he tours ACL, was the first time that I told him he'd be starting that week. 🔝 I'm still a rapper. I still write music. I'm a musician so i knew what kind of rap Thanos had to do to make him look cringe and weird. When I first read the script, I actually had to come face to face with ny past mistake when I was looking at Thanos and it required a lot of courage for me to take on this role but Director Hwang had so much trust in me that I could muster up the courage to take on the role 🔝 I don't think Thanos is a flat villain with just menace but he's kind of like a man-child. He doesn't know what to do. He's a little bit comedic but while playing this character, I think it was also an opportunity for me to self-reflect on my past and really think about what I've done wrong. 🔝 Through Squid Game and through thid character Thanos I feel like I have done my self-reflection and I'm ready to move on to the next chapter of my life.
