This tweet took me back to Viola Davis’ philosophy:

i never understood why Viola was always talking words of encouragement and self reflection in her interviews until i realize that she was a darkskinned black woman raising to fame in early 2000's hollywood. she saying everything she wish somebody would have say to her.

I think her journey of self love starts before that! Her childhood experience informs a lot of her introspective tendencies.
