STILL bops today! Prince was truly a genius!
Agreed
That whole album was a classic! It always takes me back to a very cool period in my life.
Look at you🤗🤗🤗
And a funk band rockstar!
That’s awesome 👏🏾
Why was I swaying side to side and a dip with them tho? 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Jerome went were ever Prince sent him
Was that Jermaine and Lisa? Obviously a Prince connection or influence but is that the actual people?
Yeah, google The Family…
Jerome…not Jermaine. Jerome Benton. And Susannah (Wendy’s sister) Melvoin not Lisa I’m flabbergasted I really did know song or band 😳 And I consider myself a Prince sycophant 😂
That’s okay sis😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I had this video on VHS and was mad when it got jammed in the VCR 🤬
Damn😕😕
Still is my jam!!!!!
Agreed
I have a 12 minute version
We used to wear a lot of clothes 😂
Many people don’t know they were the original performers of Nothing compares 2 U. A rare gem of an album
Prince wrote this. 🔥
You have to play “Dance Electric” either before or after
The Family! Still have the vinyl.
💜
@AngieBeansTV To this MF DAY! Hold me now bby! Tell me do u love me? Or is it passion?!
I remember this song and doing those dance moves while watching Video Soul I need to see if ITunes has this
The redhead in the video is Susannah Melvoin, Wendy Melvoin's (Wendy and Lisa of the Revolution) twin sister.
Was that Jerome of the Time in there?
So slept on. Real ones know. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
What is this song ?
“The Screams of Passion” by The Family, one of the Prince protege groups
Thank you!
No problem

True
This was my shit in high school lol
A few years later I asked aloud, “How do I all the lyrics to Sinead’s hit song?” A good friend simply replied, “The Family.”
Used to ⁉️
