I was happy with the lineup, ngl, especially because we had three midfielders with proven goal-scoring records. They’re also press-resistant, and I knew Brighton would go man-to-man, match us in duels, and make it a physical battle. We embarrassed them last season, so they were never going to take it easy on us. On paper, I genuinely felt this was our strongest XI. Havertz scores when the stakes are highest, Saka has elite chance-creation numbers, and Ødegaard, Rice, Gabriel, Timber, and Calafiori are known quantities with consistently high performance levels. Tzolis and Bruno offer technical and tactical upgrades, while Konsa maintains the standard. For me, we were either going to win comfortably or grind out a result. At worst, I expected a freak draw. I genuinely never considered a loss, especially when we had conceded just one goal in five games. You have to go back three years to find a result like this. So you’re right: MLS or no MLS Brighton prepared well and beat us, and if the game had continued for another 45 minutes, we might well have conceded another two goals. Sometimes, you just have to accept that a result like this is an anomaly. The XG of the first 2 goals and the fact that the best set piece team in the league conceded that 3rd goal seals it. We were never going to go the entire season unbeaten. This is the Premier League; every team gets its reality check eventually. This is why I hate loosing before the international break. The over analysis is going to be legendary 🫣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Okay..true talk...MLS not starting dey among the major reason why we lose woefully. I don't know about anyone, I didn't want Bruno to start..I posted it before the match..and I said my reasons. That said..it was one of those matches where all the arsenal players were woeful..we were second best in everything...that can happen..even to the most disciplined and structured team..like Arsenal.

In my opinion Rice and MLS have a better chemistry and understanding each other bcos the angle at which the 2 first goals came from either Rice or Bruno should be there protecting the defense in which I think MLS would have likely protected but that doesn’t mean they won’t beat

The whole team played our worst performance in 3 years. This used to happen to big Clubs in football ⚽ Beyond talking about Skelly please. We will bounce back in the next 3 matches. No wahala ❌

The blame is on the Arteta, you're losing away 0-2 at halftime, what stopped you from making the necessary changes? Swap Bruno G for MLS, Havertz for Gyokores and Tzolis for Eze. There is no way we lose that game the way we lost it. Leaving Havertz on gave them the 3rd goal.

The 2 goals they scored changed the game. If the score remained goalless at halftime, no way Arsenal won't get a result in the 2nd half. Lewis-Skelly would have closed that space, I don't know how you can't see it

Arsenal were all round poor that day meanwhile Brighton on the other hand were ready to win that game in honor of their anniversary So everyone position was average even the subs that came in had no impact..there was no urgency.

The only reason why we think Lewis skelly would have been better is because of his defense ability but honestly most of us na after 1st half we start to dey reason am but if he had start with mls and the result is still like this our complaint would have been why not start Bruno

We lost the midfield too early in the game. Skelly wouldn’t be fazed. Bruno got tired after 15mins

Chairman, I disagree with you. That midfield trio has never started a game together this season. Arteta miscalculated; Bruno G didn't click in that game. As such, it gave Brighton the upper hand. A weak link in a team can affect the whole team.

Skelly was a contributory factor You don't need all of players to have an off day before the panic spread through the team A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link ,Bruno G was not ho for that position yet

Bruno G set the tempo for the loosed passes. That's the point. MlS would have started with a better tempo which will transcend unto other players. That 6 position is very delicate. Against United zubi was shaky and we lost control. Don't play bro

Chief, to burst your bubble, when I saw the line up, I asked why MLS didn't start. I don't think Burno understands the system well enough to make the first XI. So yes, I believe the game would have taken a different turn if MLS had started.
