It could be the leftover charge in the capacitors of that USB hub,kind of like how your phone or laptop still charges for a few seconds once you’ve unplugged the charger but not the cable. Once those capacitors are empty, it all turns off. Just my guess.

I have just learned from experience to not ask certain questions to people I am helping or else I might take psychic damage. Case in point.

I love KVM switches! One monitor, one keyboard, one mouse, controls two PCs, one at a time! We use ours at one of our customers. They've got a file server and an old NVR that they refuse to upgrade. Both units are on a two post rack, so space is limited. Hence, the KVM switch!
