In Lakhimpur, a serious case of alleged medical negligence has come to light. At Vatsalya Maternity and Child Nursing Home, a young girl underwent abdominal surgery that her family claims was performed carelessly. After the operation, the child was unable to pass stool and remained admitted at the hospital for five days, during which the family says they were charged ₹1.5 lakh. Later, the hospital referred the patient elsewhere. The mother then spent three days in Lucknow, going from one hospital to another in an attempt to get her daughter admitted. However, the child’s condition reportedly became so critical that no hospital was willing to take responsibility for treatment. The distressed mother, crying and pleading for help, has been moving from place to place with her daughter. She has now approached the police station to report the incident and seek justice.

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has paid a visit to the woman who was physically assaulted by her husband in a viral video at Ofankor in the Greater Accra Region. According to the victim, she has been separated from her husband for the past five months. Update In this new video, lawyer Falah (bestie of SJ Shihad and Muhuthaz Muhusin) is throwing food away and emptying bottles into the sink, to harass her. At the time, the woman was pregnant and he attacked her during her pregnancy. The child who was later born has special needs. Falah then refused to provide support for the child, forcing the mother to seek assistance from NSPA, where she was able to obtain some financial help. He has also attacked her in front of the child. These incidents have been reported to the police. But by using his law firm and connections within gov and the courts, he was able to obtain a restraining order against her, when, in fact, it should have been issued against him. Now he’s leaking videos on Facebook to make it look like in a certain video the mother is pushing the child. But in the video the mother is actually trying to protect the child from drunk Falah that day. He should not be allowed anywhere near children. Just last month, he was admitted to the hospital for an overdose.
