Bello Turji is trending because the bandit kingpin has launched mass attack to control Eastern region of Sokoto State, seizing villages, kidnapping and ordering immediate evacuation. He personally led the attacks. Which is causing confusion, as Nigerians thought the he had been klled by the Nigerian Army. Actually, the Nigerian army never confirmed the elimination of Bello Turji. Instead, it’s his close associates who have been eliminated over the years as Bello has remained in hiding since his emergence in 2011. On Saturday, Bello raided Bargaja village killing at least 3 persons. Yesterday night, he violently led a raid in Tidibale village, Isa LGA, reportedly ordering evacuation within 24hrs, kidnapping women and girls in mass, as he strategically expands his dominance in Sokoto east. This comes just days after Katsina state government reached agreement to release 70 bandits, in exchange for abducted hostages. Last month, Bello’s top lieutenant Kallamu Buzu, was eliminated in an ambush by the NA. Bello reportedly swore to avenge him and intensify his attacks. Turji operates banditry within Niger, Zamfara and Sokoto states, imposing tax on communities. In December 2021, bello ambushed a full bus in Sabon Birni and set it ablaze burning all 30 occupants alive. A month later, he attacked a community and killed 200 people in Zamfara as he battled to gain and recover territories from rival bandit leader, Dogo Gide. Nigerian are wondering how a civilian is able to set up a parallel government in a state and walk freely. While students who protest against it are arrested, Ekpoma. Fun Fact: Boko Haram’s Shekau wasn’t killed by the Nigerian Government.. He committed suicide with an explosive vest, after losing a battle with his replacement from terrorist headquarters, who felt Shekau was becoming politically involved. NIGERIA IS NOW DIRECTLY UNDER US STATE CAPTURE BREAKING: U.S. Embassy in Nigeria Now Directly Coordinates With NSA’s Office To Arrest Nigerian Citizens Over Criticism of Israel, USA In a stunning development, the United States Embassy in Nigeria has established a direct coordination framework with the Office of the National Security Adviser to monitor the social media activities of Nigerian citizens, directly recommending individuals for arrest and prosecution based on their online criticism of Israel and the United States. Under this framework, exclusively revealed to Sovereign Media, two Nigerian social media users, Sani Buhari and Abubakar Adamu, were recently arrested by the Department of State Security Services (DSS) and charged in court for posts on X that were critical of Israel's genocide in Palestine, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and US president Donald Trump. Buhari was eventually released, but only after posting a clearly forced apology to the US Embassy on his X handle by the DSS, while Adamu remains in custody. Since Bola Ahmed Tinubu took power in Nigeria in 2023, West Africa's erstwhile regional pillar, whose foreign policy still officially follows an "Africa First" doctrine, has increasingly begun operating as a satellite extension of western powers, including France and the US. For example, in December 2025, during a coup attempt in Benin, Tinubu deployed Nigerian air and ground forces to quell the attempt on the orders of French president Emmanuel Macron. The escalating pattern of policy decisions and geopolitical moves locking Nigeria into multiple security partnerships with western governments is raising the real possibility of the country being retrofitted into a vassal state without the ability to set its own internal security priorities, with foreign interests dictating what its citizens are allowed to say. If Nigeria's compromised foreign policy posture is not addressed quickly, Africa could see one of its most important countries abandon its historic role as a pillar of Pan-African support and turn into the continent's most dangerous vassal state. House Republicans (House Republicans) have instructed us to keep them actively informed regarding election integrity concerns, as well as allegations that certain senior officials within the current Nigerian government may be complicit in violence and targeted attacks against #Christian communities in Northern Nigeria. Nigeria is a sovereign nation. However, President Donald J. Trump and Congressional Republicans have made clear that they will not remain passive in the face of widespread reports of violence against Christian populations, nor ignore circumstances in which the current Nigerian government appears unwilling or unable to protect its citizens while potentially circumventing the will of the electorate to retain power. Additionally, a circulating video, the authenticity and full context of which remain under review, of Nigerian President #Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, (Femi Gbajabiamila), allegedly inciting disruption of Nigerian opposition party (African Democratic Congress) activities, is concerning, particularly as the alleged disruption is reportedly being cited by Nigeria’s electoral authorities (INEC Nigeria) as justification for invalidating opposition party leadership. This raises further concerns regarding potential electoral interference. There are also claims that Mr. Gbajabiamila holds U.S. citizenship and that his alleged statements could be construed as incitement affecting U.S. interests. Donald J. We are not educated but we possess proficiency in handling AK-47 rifle, bandit kingpin boasts By: Zagazola Makama A suspected bandit kingpin has publicly declared that members of his group lack formal education but possess proficiency in handling weapons, particularly the AK-47 rifle, while addressing a gathering in Dutsenma LGA in Katsina State. In a video obtained by Zagazola, the armed group leader, surrounded during dialogue, was seen displaying a rifle as the crowd cheered. “We did not go to school and we are not educated, but even without schooling, we know how to operate an AK-47,” he said. The kingpin further compared their situation with that of educated individuals, stating: “While you gather books on your shelves, we have gathered AK-47 rifles,” as he raised his weapon before the crowd. The crowd chanted Yeyyyy. He also accused authorities of failing to honour agreements reached during previous dialogue efforts. “If we make promises to you, we try to fulfil them. We expect you to do the same. This is one of our major concerns,” he said. The bandit leader claimed that members of his group were presently detained across several states, alleging that many of them had been arrested without subsequent release despite negotiations. “There is no state without our people in detention; Katsina, Kano and even Abuja. Many of our men and women have been detained, but when we ask for their release, nothing happens. These are our complaints to the Nigerian leaders,” he added. He further alleged that government representatives often engage them in dialogue without following through on agreed terms. “Your leaders come to meet us and we agree on certain issues, but once they leave, they go back and sit comfortably in their ACs, without fulfilling those promises,” he said as the crowd chanted with laughter. The kingpin warned that failure to sustain engagement could lead to the withdrawal of fighters from dialogue arrangements. “All the people you see here may disappear into the forest for months if we are not invited again for discussions. You may only find small children left behind,” he stated. He, however, expressed willingness to honour future invitations for dialogue, provided previous agreements are respected. “If you release our people, even if you call us to Katsina, we will come. We are not afraid to go anywhere, but we fear unfulfilled promises,” he said. Nigerian Army

SOMEONE, PLEASE BREAK IT DOWN FOR ME FOR AYAM NOT UNDERSTANDING! When I read the comment by the Nigerian Chief of Defence that "bandits will never honour peace deals", I got confused because of this video that I saw which is said to have emanated from Katsina state Nigeria. So, these bandits armed to the teeth, with RPGs (or are my eyes playing tricks on me) actually rolled into town (within Nigerian borders), without the knowledge and consent of the Nigerian authorities? And they were all left to go back in peace and in one piece, with their arsenal intact and their heads still attached to their shoulders? Someone please explain this to me, because ayam not understanding anything anymore. And somehow, we want to blame the communities? For refusing to die helplessly? To think that this is the same Nigeria of a little over 2 years ago when from the civil society to the media, Buhari was not allowed to drink water and drop the cup because of insecurity, inspite of all his visible and effective efforts, alongside our military. What has changed, and so drastically? Am I the only one shitting my pants at the obvious fact that our dear nation Nigeria is sitting on a silo of gunpowder? Unfortunately, the administration and its captured minions, big and small, are focused on a 2027 re-election and on how many Governors and legislators defect to the ruling party. #GodSaveNigeria ©️ uche diala Me: Thank you, Dr. Did you say 2027? They have fixed a date for November 2026. But it's the joke if the century.

A THREAT IS EXISTENTIAL WHEN.…. In the last few days: - In this video below, Dr Kabir Adamu, a security and intelligence expert, said in another very recent Channels Television interview "everyone who knows his onions within the security space knows where the big bandits are" - he added, "apart from knowing their physical presence, we have knowledge of their businesses - Bello Turji has businesses that are know to the security agencies" - so we know where they are. - Al Jazzera journalist, Ahmed Idris, reporting Al Jazeera English, tracked and interviewd the bandits in their den and interviewd them - so we know where they are. - Former Kaduna State Governor, Mal Nasiru Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai: In a Channels Television interview claimed that the government, through the Office of the national security adviser is sending money and proviisions to bandits terrorising the north western Nigeria - so we know where they are. - Governor Dauda Lawal of ZAMFARA STATE GOVERNMENT said “We have means of tracking and bandits but even when we know where they are and are ready to attack them, the authorities in Abuja stop our vigilantes” - so we know where they are. - Yesterday, a video emerged of a young bandit, an automatic weapon in hand, out in town (after a purpoted truce) and enjoying a yoghurt in a town in Katsina state with many young men taking pictures of him and with him - so we know where they are. Yet, according reports, and in the last 30 hours, these same armed bandits have; * Attacked Magaji Wando community in Katsina where they killed and abducted many then ambushed a CWC (Children's Welfare Centre) where their injured victims are being cared for and abducted all residents. Later all the injured residents killed by the bandits. * People were attacked, abducted, injured and killed in Tagadi and Ruwan Gora communities in Zamfara State, Fakku village in Sokoto State, Melehe village in Niger State, Sanga Local Govt of Kaduna State and Jabiri community in Katsina State. So; Isn't it time #Arewa understands that it is in an existential war with itself? That like a cancer, we are allowing something we can collectively remedy to destroy us all? As we are busy playing politics with our rural folks’ lives, let's know that this is not Nigeria's problem. The rest of Nigeria will move on, as they watch us fail to get get to grips and bring to end to something capable of destroying the entire #Arewa. Nigeria Governors' Forum and all #Arewa political, traditional, religious and business leaders, together with all northern technocrats and intellectuals should come together to fashion away to end this. Else.......we as a region and as a people are doomed.

The Difference Between “Eating a Banana” and “Supporting a Terrorist Group” The only reason I am sharing this is so people can see the truth with their own eyes and judge for themselves. In May 2024, I was arrested by London police during a protest outside Barclays Bank. My alleged offences? Carrying the St George’s flag and eating and waving a banana. During my arrest, my press card which was inside my bag was dropped and lost in the street. This card had my home address printed on it. The police did not even tell me the reason for my arrest at the time. Only after I was placed inside the van was the reason given and it shocked me. The arresting officer told me that the combination of “the St George’s flag” and “a banana” signified racism to him personally, and that even if no one else complained, he himself would press charges against me. I spent around 20 hours in police custody, locked in a cell, before being released on bail with the following conditions: Condition No. 1 Not to knowingly attend or participate in any protest demonstration related to the Palestinian cause or events occurring in Gaza. Condition No. 2 To refrain from behaviour aimed at inciting or disturbing participants of any protest demonstration in support of the Palestinian cause or against events in Gaza. Condition No. 3 Not to enter the London Borough of Camden or the City of Westminster unless for a pre-arranged appointment with solicitors, the police, or in a medical emergency. The label the police put on me even caused the Campaign Against Antisemitism Campaign Against Antisemitism to hesitate greatly before agreeing to cover my court and legal fees, they did not want to be seen supporting someone accused of racism. Imagine the extreme psychological pressure I was under for 21 days, my life completely disrupted. I suffered nightmares, and only after much reluctance and under the looming fear of what would happen if I lost the case did they agree to provide financial support. That support saved me from living the rest of my life under the stain of a racism accusation, something that, once the media attach to you without evidence, is almost impossible to erase. Now, let’s compare this to openly supporting a proscribed terrorist organisation: Yesterday, under the Terrorism Act 2000, police arrested 466 people for showing support for a terrorist group. Yet none of them were given restrictions like mine. For example, Paul O’Brien a doctor who was standing directly in front of me when I was arrested was detained for supporting the terrorist organisation Palestine Action. After a short ride in the police van and having his details taken in the street right outside the Foreign Office, he was back in Parliament Square the very same day. For people like me, the law is applied in the harshest and most unnecessary way possible; for others, it’s treated like a game. This is exactly how the policing system works in reality: in their eyes, eating a banana is a more serious crime than supporting terrorism. That’s how absurd it is.

Turji’s New Video Statement: A Calculated Move or a Path to Peace? By: Zagazola Makama A new video released by notorious bandit leader Bello Turji has once again stirred public discourse, especially in the North West where he has long been a central figure in the region’s spiraling insecurity. In the footage, Turji confirmed that negotiations between him and both federal and state authorities are ongoing, a revelation that both raises hopes and deepens suspicion. More notably, Turji claimed that the violence and terror associated with him in past years were the result of “misunderstandings,” asserting that he is a bona fide citizen of the North West, and that overtures for dialogue have come from various tiers of government. While this may be perceived by some as a positive development, an opening for long-term peace in a region plagued by cycles of violence, reprisal, and underdevelopment, others view the statement with a high degree of caution. Turji's narrative of misunderstanding suggests a reframing of his past actions, possibly in an attempt to cleanse his image ahead of potential amnesty or reintegration. This is not without precedent in Nigeria’s security history; former militants in the Niger Delta and even some ex-Boko Haram commanders have benefited from similar reintegration initiatives. However, Turji’s case is particularly sensitive. He has been accused of spearheading brutal attacks, mass killings, and mass abductions across Zamfara, Sokoto, and Katsina states. For victims and communities still reeling from these tragedies, hearing him now speak of peace may ring hollow or even offensive. His timing raises questions. With ongoing security forces operations intensifying in parts of Zamfara and neighbouring states, and particularly, the killing of Danbokolo, his Operation Commander, Turji’s shift in tone may be less about reconciliation and more about self-preservation. A video declaration of peace can also serve as leverage in negotiations, portraying him as a “reasonable actor” who holds sway over numerous armed groups. Risks of Dialogue Without Accountability Peace negotiations are often messy, but they must be grounded in justice and transparency. The danger in negotiating with known terrorists or warlords is the legitimization of impunity. Communities that suffered at Turji’s hands are unlikely to welcome peace without accountability or reparations. For example, Dogo Gide has allegedly accepted peace in Kaduna but his boys recently attacked military locations in Kaduna. Another recent attack was credited to him in Kebbi state. Again Yellow Jambros surrendered in Kaduna but his men are still going to Benue and Plateau to carry out revenge attacks for Fulani herdsmen that were attacked in the states. Turji’s latest video should be seen as a strategic move perhaps signalling a recognition of shifting dynamics in the conflict zone. It is also a test of the Nigerian government’s approach to managing non-state armed actors. If dialogue is to yield peace, it must be structured, transparent, and accompanied by a firm commitment to justice for victims. A ceasefire is welcome, but without addressing the root causes such as land disputes, governance failures, injustices, extra judicial killing, arms proliferation, and impunity, Turji’s words may be just another tactical pause in a long war. The federal government has not officially confirmed Turji’s claims.

A wild and almost unknown land in East Africa: bordered by #Sudan, #Kenya, British #Somaliland, #Eritrea, and what was then Italian Somaliland. 'Free Abyssinia' – thats how the British news agency in a 1941 Reuters report described the land we call Ethiopia today. This rare archival video footage reveals significant historical details that strongly indicate Eritrea was already recognized as a distinct and far advanced country long before being federated with or annexed by Ethiopia (Abyssinia). Key points from this 1941 British second world war report: 1)Abyssinia is described as “a wild and almost unknown land in East Africa bordered by Eritrea” – explicitly listing Eritrea as a separate neighboring country. 2) Abyssinia (Ethiopia) is called “the first country to be restored to its own people” after being occupied by Fascist Italy and its Axis allies, and other nations under Nazi like Holland, France, .... will also be liberated by the allies. 3) The freedom of Abyssinia was carried out by the British Empire 4) Emperor Haile Selassie was greeted upon his return by the British General Commander in East Africa, General Cunningham (commander of forces in Abyssinia). He was in Addis Ababa months before Haile Selasie. 5) Nigerian troops (serving under the British) formed the guard of honor. Footage of central Addis Ababa in 1941, around the Menelik Palace, shows a city of mud houses and dirt roads with virtually no modern buildings – in stark contrast to Asmara (Eritrea), which at the time was already a planned, modern city with paved roads, European-style architecture, and advanced infrastructure built during Italian colonial rule."

In the video, which has since circulated widely across social media platforms, the influencer was heard making statements interpreted as inciting violence amid the tense security situation in parts of Plateau State. “Anybody you see that is not from here, anybody that looks suspicious, before they get you down, get them down!” he said. Quit my Job at Microsoft, and back to the Classroom as a Student - My Short Story. Till today, some say quitting my job at Microsoft doesn't make logical sense. To be serious, it doesn't make any logical sense especially when I have to return to the classroom and back to the job market. This was however necessary for me to pursue a new path for my family. When I was at Microsoft, on several occasions, I felt Microsoft was God's sent to Africa and I am the Evangelist. Explain to me why a company is investing so much in capacity development in Africa like Microsoft. Through relevant skills, we can bring many out of poverty, save them from the after-effects of unemployment, make them dream big and achieve it, and keep alive hopes in the hearts of millions of others with similar backgrounds like mine. So, I took my work with passion and purpose. I was allowed to support academic institutes in several countries and I appeared as a Guest Lecturer for Masters Courses on Advance Data Analytics. I relocated to the US and everything changed, back to the classroom but now as a Student. Indeed a humbling experience for me. I love every opportunity I have to make complex topics simple. You wouldn't know how much I know about Data Management, Data Science, Data Analytics, and Power Platform until you give me a Mic or Opportunity to lead (Yeah, kindly reach out if you would like to have such a passionate young man like myself in your team). I am deeply passionate about these fields and my passion is validated by years of work that I have invested in building up my skills. I have been opportune to lead diverse teams in my career and both my listening skill and ability to break down complex tasks made it easier to bring out the best in my team members. In this presentation, I explained what Supervised Machine Learning is, the data science workflow, and evaluating machine learning models, and I did a live demo in class - built a Supervised Machine Learning model to drive home full comprehension. I am looking for a Remote Internship for Summer 2024 in Data Analytics and I need your help to Like and Repost this. Who knows, I can be lucky enough to find a team that will give me a chance. Thank you in advance 🙏 #intern

🚨BOMBSHELL: Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes — the same judge who clashed with Elon Musk during Brazil’s 2024 push to ban X — is now facing growing calls for impeachment and arrest. The pressure stems from a massive banking-fraud scandal linked to the collapse of Banco Master. Moraes’ wife's law firm reportedly received about $25M in legal-services fees from the bank before it imploded amid a multibillion-dollar fraud probe. Federal Police forensic analysis of jailed banker Daniel Vorcaro’s phone reportedly uncovered WhatsApp messages sent to Judge Moraes on the morning of Vorcaro’s November 17, 2025 arrest, asking whether he had managed to “block” his arrest as authorities closed in. Investigators say Moraes replied with “view-once” messages that automatically disappear after being opened, leaving their contents unrecoverable. Police also reportedly identified earlier disappearing or deleted exchanges, phone calls between the two, and messages in which Vorcaro described meeting Moraes in 2025. Moraes has denied the messages were his — but Brazilian newspaper O Globo reported this week that a Federal Police technical analysis linked the phone number directly to the Supreme Court justice. In 2024, Elon Musk labeled Moraes "the dictator of Brazil" and warned that the Justice "repeatedly and egregiously violates Brazilian law." Musk famously predicted: "Moraes will end up in prison for his many crimes. That is his destiny," even posting an AI-generated image of Moraes behind bars with the warning, "This picture of you in prison will be real. Mark my words." Now, a growing coalition of Brazilian officials are demanding that Moraes face impeachment and criminal charges. Can Brazil successfully remove the corrupt dictator running its juristocracy? Only time will well. Video: Gazeta do Povo
