My 5th grade teacher made us memorize this. Sadly, I only remember parts of it. Granted that was 45+ years ago.

I've known of this poem since I was a kid. It's nice. Unfortunately, although setting a mark, it doesn't give all the details about how to get there, especially given our varied circumstances. So, if you're attracted to the poem but find its requirements daunting, keep it in mind and look for the pieces that you're missing. They're out there.
