Wow. Honor them by celebrating their life. Not by sadness. Death is part of life. Holding sadness bc of a sense of honor is mental. Put God in the center of ur heart & mind bc he will carry u thru all life’s ups & downs. Live your life to the fullest. Sadness is depression

You never get over grief, you just learn to live with it because life must go on.

I lost my brother in 1988. And what Billy Bob Thornton says here is accurate. There is always a part of you that feels sadness when something good happens because you know they're not here to share it with you.

he chooses to keep missing him if he wanted to he could forget about his brother and not care but to him that empty feeling would be far worse the suffering give him something it builds his identity

The last thing your brother would want is for you to spend the rest of your life being sad because of him. Being happy would be a better honor!

I wish I could say that I don’t understand what he’s saying but until you lose someone that you truly loved you won’t be to able to understand…consider yourself lucky

Would your brother want you to be sad bc of his death. No. Love does not equate to sadness.

Nope. Take comfort in knowing they simply crossed over and are still with you. When you cross they will be there. Keep photos of them on display. They aren't in the graveyard. We are eternal beings in these temporary bodies. Understand that. Death is not the end or a punishment.
