This view proved invaluable to LDCFM during a tower fire on Oct. 23rd. They called in our drone team to help figure out exactly where to aim the water. The pilot helped guide firefighters to the hotspots and confirmed temperatures of about 360 degrees Fahrenheit in a few places.... show more

‼️The UAE will run out of water.🫧 People are already panic buying water, the smart ones at least. Tap water isn’t drinkable. Bottled water has to be shipped in. The airways are closed. The sea (Hormuz) is closed. Nothing is coming in. It’s the desert. Temperatures can rise up to 130 degrees Fahrenheit (55 degrees Celsius) with 100% humidity. The government has instructed people not to panic buy, which means they know they will run out of water. I speak from personal experience when I lived in the UAE as a child, and war broke out in the region, everyone panic bought water, and there was non left for the rest of us. Who thought it was a good idea to stick 9 million foreigners in the desert? The same people who invented the "UAE" in the first place. Nature was always going to reclaim that place.

NEWS President-elect Trump confirms that his inaugural ceremony is being moved indoors to the U.S. Capitol Rotunda due to dangerously cold temperatures. It’s set to be 24 degrees in Washington on Monday with a wind chill of 6-10 degrees (or 8-12 degrees depending on the forecast). The last president to be sworn in indoors was President Reagan in 1985. He was sworn in by the Chief Justice at the White House on January 20, and the video below is from his ceremonial swearing-in the next day. There was a wind chill of 25 below zero on that day. The last time it was close to this cold for an inaugural ceremony was during President Obama’s first term. That ceremony remained outdoors, but the wind chill is forecasted to be about 6–10 degrees colder than it was in 2009.
