🛑🇧🇫- A Ghanaian walked from Accra to Ouagadougou in 17 days to show his support to Captain Traore and African unity. The Ghanaian Alhadji Yakub Ayana completed a journey of over 950 kilometers on foot from Accra to Ouagadougou in 17 days, to deliver a powerful message of Pan-African unity and support for the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, and his sovereignist policies. Dressed in an attire made from pieces of the flags of the 54 African countries, the Pan-Africanist walker Alhadji Yakub Ayana braved wind, sun, hunger, cold, thirst, and fatigue to preach African unity along the Accra-Ouagadougou axis. Setting off on October 10th, he arrived in Ouagadougou on October 27, 2025, at Revolution Square. Visibly moved, he gave thanks to God before bowing before the monument of the Flame of the Revolution, lit by President Thomas Sankara. “It wasn’t easy, but in the name of love for Africa, I did it. My feet were sometimes swollen, but thanks to the medical assistance of the ambulance that accompanied me throughout the journey, everything went well,” he said. “We are a rich continent that needs unity to develop and shine in the world. If we succeed, it will be white people themselves who will come to try their luck immigrating to Africa in search of El Dorado,” he affirmed. For him, the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore embodies the African leader who works for the interests of his people and of Africa. That is why he warns the imperialists who would try to take his life. “We want to issue a warning to the West not to harm our President Ibrahim Traore because we often hear rumors that there are plans to harm him. But we are warning them today: they shouldn't dare,” added Adams Abubakar Alhassan, a member of the organizing committee. During his journey, Mr. Ayana was accompanied by nine people, including medical personnel in a fully equipped ambulance, security agents, and supporters. Awa Ilboudo, a Burkinabè woman born and residing in Ghana, and a fervent supporter of the Sankara revolution, did not hesitate to join Alhadji Ayana to express her admiration for Captain Ibrahim Traore, whom she considers a worthy successor to President Sankara. The Pan-Africanist walker hopes to meet with President Ibrahim Traore, Foreign Minister Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, His Majesty the Mogho Naaba Baongho, and religious leaders. Mr. Ayana arrives in Burkina Faso at a time when more than 700 people of African descent and members of the diaspora are staying, seeking to reconnect with their roots. Welcome to Ouagadougou Alhadji Yakub Ayana! I salute your courage and dedication! One love ❤️.

GADDAFI SPOKESMAN DEFENDS TRAORE As the West increasingly feels threatened by the revolutionary process underway in the Sahel, Africans worldwide have come out in firm defence of the motherland. Adding to the mix of voices in support of Burkina Faso’s revolution is the assassinated Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi’s (1942-2011) spokesperson, Moussa Ibrahim. If there is someone as well versed on the West’s schemes against Africa, it would be Ibrahim, as he witnessed NATO dismantle Africa’s once-most prosperous country, fracturing it and turning the North African country into an open-air slave market, far from the bastion of African progress it represented under Gaddafi. US Africa Command (AFRICOM) General Michael Langley accusing Burkina Faso President Ibrahim Traoré of using gold his government reclaimed from foreign companies to protect his ‘junta regime’ is the same old play to manufacture consent for an invasion, Ibrahim argues. Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger formed the Alliance of Sahel States on 6 July 2024 after successfully ousting Western-aligned leaders following people-backed coups d'état. Since then, they have cooperated on defence, economics, and foreign policy, and launched an AES passport. They are also working on creating a sovereign currency. The goal is to form a federal state encompassing their territories, with the dream of eventually uniting the African continent under one people-oriented governance. Ibrahim listed the revolutionary leaders Africa has lost to imperial machinations, including the assassinated Democratic Republic of the Congo Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba (1925-61) and ousted Ghanaian leader Kwame Nkrumah (1909-72). Africans must unite and stand together in defence of Burkina Faso if we are to successfully repel the imperialist onslaught against Burkina Faso, no less with a Black face leading the charge, a sad parallel with US President Barack Obama’s ouster of Gaddafi. ‘THIS IS NOT A DEMOCRACY, THIS IS A REVOLUTION!’ President Ibrahim Traoré has warned against attempts by foreign forces and their agents to put a stop to Burkina Faso’s popular and progressive revolution. In this clip, he again draws attention to an alleged plot to do just that - being organised from neighbouring Ivory Coast (referred to by him here as ‘Lagoon side’ after Ébrié Lagoon). He says their plan is to make his country go again through ‘the events of ‘87’ - which saw the assassination of revolutionary leader Thomas Sankara, to whom Traoré has often been compared. Traoré also muses on the concept of democracy. He is adamant that, in the true sense of the word, it is currently inapplicable. A popular and progressive revolution such as the one he is leading right now needs to be completed first. Since coming to power in a coup in 2022, Traoré has worked to transform the country, pushing it towards greater food sovereignty, industrialisation and overall self-determination. His international critics denounce the revolutionary process as undemocratic. These outlets and institutions focus on Traoré's military background and decry what they deem backward 'military rule.’ Today, the definition of democracy has become so warped that it is taken to mean simply voting in an election every 4-5 years. Little does it matter if the people have any real say in policy or are engaged in any political activities between election cycles. In a country such as the United States, thousands of people fight tirelessly against their government's warmongering, from the Iraq invasion in 2013 to the support for Israel and its ongoing destruction of Palestinian Territories. These citizens plead and beg for universal healthcare, but all demands fall on deaf ears. We are made to believe that this is democracy because there was a vote, irrespective of how limited the options are.
