"This was a Vikings team that allowed a guy to come in, completely restart his career to where he was the #1 sought-after QB in free agency at the #1 most important position in the NFL and you got nothing for him? You could've gotten assets!" 🎙️Jason Smith

@howaboutafresca He literally signed for 35m a year. Franchise tag was $41m.. you can't magically create a market and get draft picks when it's not there.. good lord

@howaboutafresca 1. Vikings got a third 2. Vikings didnt want to sign and trade him and basically fuck him over 3. No team is going to offer more than a 3rd for a free agent 4. Ur a dingus

@howaboutafresca We “allowed him” to restart his career? Buddy…. WE restarted his career. He needed us more than we needed him. You should lose credibility for that bs

@howaboutafresca He literally got signed for less than what the franchise tag was. Didn’t need to risk getting stuck with him. Especially when teams know McCarthy is starting this year.

@howaboutafresca If they did try to sign and trade him with no takers, they wouldn’t have been able to make all these free agent acquisitions.

@howaboutafresca It’s a great look for free agents and the culture. Why would players come to/stay at a spot where the team holds players for ransom? The Vikings just signed 4 pro bowlers and have their QB of the future. They’ll get a 3rd round comp pick for Sam next year. Relax man

@howaboutafresca Dude doesn't understand how free agency works. Risking being stuck with a 41M cap hit was never an option. Not to mention the optics. The market didn't value Sam at 41M per year. They made the right choice. If you don't see that you don't understand football.

Justin Fields: Firstfruits Believers He hasn’t had a winning season in the NFL yet.. His career thus far has been pure adversity Yet he has a large audience of believers. Why so? The skillset, the playmaker ability, the leader, and the person. We have watched Justin Fields grow up from the kid he was on QB1:Beyond the Lights The kid that willed his team to greatness since HS has faced adversity all throughout his football career Even in college, there was adversity before triumph Fans and believers understand that the NFL is a cutthroat business where opportunities come very few It is just a hard pill to swallow to see a talent like Justin Fields fall to inept organizations and coaches But by no means, are we throwing a pity party. But seriously, what has happened to the NFL? The NFL brand used to be all about development. Coaches used to actually invest, coach, develop, and believe in their players But despite the adversity, we believe Fields will find himself in a good situation that suits him With a coach that believes in him A scheme that was built for him A team that has the level of talent needed to win And a front office that truly understands what Fields bring to a team at Qb He is a game changer, not manager. He needs an offense that allows him to have 35-45 passing attempts down the field If Warren Moon NFL career started at 28 years old If Kurt Warner NFL career started at 27 years old Then surely Justin Fields at are 26 has time to prove that he belongs Give him 1 full year with good OL, good WRs, and good coach. He will breakout
