Brampton, Ont. — Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre sharpened his attack on Prime Minister Mark Carney, accusing him of being worse than his predecessor. “Mr. Carney is actually more irresponsible than even Justin Trudeau was,” Poilievre said at his housing press conference. He pointed to an 8% increase in overall government spending, 37% more for consultants, 6% more bureaucracy, and 86,000 more unemployed Canadians since Carney took office. “The mistake the media is making is they’re judging him by his words rather than his deeds,” Poilievre added.
