as per rules it is not out. if the fielder had full control he shouldn't had let the ball touch the ground.

Under the current rules not out Using common sense, still not out

Clearly not out 👎 arrest Rohit Sharma with immediate effect 😠

Not Out ….

Power 🔥♥️

Not out by cricket rules but out according to Ricky ponting rules

My money was on davis to score over 13.5 and he was given not out on 13 here😭

Clear Out. Ball Control in hand

Out or not out?

Quite obviously Not Out

SIXERS end on 132, SCORCHERS need 133 to clinch their 6th BBL title! 3 wickets each for Payne and Jhye Richardon

Ball clearly touching the ground and wasn't in control..... Not out ta

My take: Not out ❌️ and correctly so per the current laws. The replay shows the ball clearly touched the ground right as/at the end of Connolly's slide while he was gaining control. Law 33.3 is strict: if the ball contacts the ground before the fielder has complete control, it's not a catch — even if it looks spectacular and the fielder ends up holding it cleanly afterward.

Not out. In the current rules. Imo the rule is perfect. He shouldn't have put the ball on the ground. If it was under control, then why would he want to do that?

It's not really an opinion thing is it, that is clearly not out.

He put the ball on the ground before having full control of his own movement; therefore, not out.

Mind blowing that anyone thinks this is out. He’s sliding towards the boundary rope and clearly not yet in control of his movement. He uses his hands to control his movement and grounds the ball in the process. It’s poor from him that he even claimed the catch.

Out to everyone except those supporting the 6ers

100% this is not out and anybody saying otherwise has never played cricket. You have to have full control of your body and the ball before it is considered a catch. If he had his hand flipped over the other way then it's fine but the ball literally skids along the floor here!

Of course it's not out. The purpose of a catch is to keep the ball above the ground, not use it as a pushup tool

It is not out Ball dragged in ground 👍

Steven Smith's BBL 25/26 with the 🏏 299 runs, averaging [email protected] his depature early on for 24(13) has left Sixers struggling in the Final today Sixers 121-6(18.0)

Clearly out, controlled it all the way. So when diving for a catch you can no longer hit the ground? Sack the umpire.

Not out obviously. I always find it interesting how many people confidently state the opposite when they have obviously never read the laws of the game. They’re easy to find and read. Too much effort I guess. Easier to look like a blustering idiot I guess 🤷🏻♂️

Umpires at work 👽💀

Not Out, the ball clearly touches the ground, even though the player has it in his hand.

Out in my Opinion 👽

Yes because ball was touched on ground

Reminds me of starc at lords

Weird that people think this is out, including the fielder.

Muffa bhai it's clear out as finger was there 🧐

I think umpire was right 👍

Close call but I think it's not out

Not out
