This was insane aura

Him being out by 20 feet at home and getting called safe makes this so much funnier

This was Koo’s second and last MLB at bat. His first came a week earlier (against Cincinnati I think) and it was maybe the worst AB I ever saw. That he hit a double off Randy Johnson was unfathomable

Bro was out by a mile

Roy Oswalt played LF in the windbreaker right after he got traded to Philly

I miss Majestic man.

I miss my league

Out by 10 feet at home

iirc there was a baseball in his jacket pocket and he almost hurt himself diving on it lol

Jon Bois did an excellent video on this guy

Also love how he was out by a mile and there’s nothing torre or the yanks could do about it.

I miss when pitchers had to bat.

#MakeBaseballGreatAgain I never understood the windbreakers, but never questioned it either. Just something “we did” 🤣🤷🏻♂️⚾️

Today's pitchers would be on the IL for 9 months after running the bases lmao

Zach Britton went deep in Atlanta

The windbreaker made the ump call him safe

Now if a pitcher tried to do this they’ll tear their acl just from swinging a bat

It was great in the video game they would appear with a wind breaker

I miss pitchers having to hit. Colon!!!!

pitchers hitting was the best thing ever because a) windbreaker and b) some of em could genuinely have been DHs with how good they were at hitting

Ban the DH

ya this was pretty good

20 years later and this looks insane because Shea Stadium looks like a AAA ballpark. Not to mention the pitcher in the windbreaker out by at least two feet at home, but you can’t challenge the call.

This same video can be used to explain why we now have a challenge system.

this was a Pretty Good moment

This was real baseball

Koo Dae Sung! .500 career batting average, hit a double off of Randy Johnson. One of the greatest Mets ever

Pretty good

Pretty Good.

This is one my core early baseball memories. Even as a Yankee fan I was in awe of him running with a jacket on.

When baseball had soul

What a beautiful jon bois video

What happened to the game I love?

I remember this moment very well and sometimes I’ll think about it. Randy Johnson was washed up and didn’t really wanna play in NY

This is what baseball is all about - losing our way
