This was my Y Combinator application video from 2011 with Matt Robinson and Hiroki Takeuchi We were all in suits because we'd just come back from a meeting with RBS to agree a banking deal that would power @gocardless for the next 10 years.

If Carney didn’t pull that purposeful stunt by running away from the table because he didn’t agree with some of the items on it we wouldn’t have to come crawling back to it. We were right there. Carney’s and our Premier’s reaction to the trade deal triggered all of the chaos. And for what? Was it for the midterms? For China? To keep people’s elbows up or all of the above. What we witnessed this week was calculated. Normal people would have tried to continue working. This was anything but normal.

Matt Damon reveals he and Ben Affleck met when they were 10 and 8 years old, and how they're still working together 40 years later Amy Poehler: "What, you met, what, 10 and 8 or something?" Matt Damon: "10 and 8... At 16 and 14 years old, we were going to New York together to audition for stuff..." "And here we are 40 years later, and it's like, we should make every single movie we can together." "It's not a friendship that could ever be replicated, just because we grew up together, which meant we were together all the time." "One of the great things about writing with him was always the fact that there was a deep and abiding love and respect underneath everything that was never in question." "It's very helpful when you're working creatively with someone because you're not worried about their feelings." "For me, it's like this, my closest friend for 40 years, 45 years. Who else would I want to hang out with and do this stuff?"

Even as kids we knew that stealing was wrong yet another kid stole my bike. It was a big deal because we were poor, just came to this country for a few years and my parents saved up to get me a bike. I loved that thing, I used to ride it all around the neighborhood for hours. So naturally when somebody took it, I was devastated. Turned out it was another kid nearby and I was lucky enough to get it back. Many of my friends who had their bike stolen wasn’t so lucky. Just one of those things you live and learn, luckily for me I won’t have to deal with it with my kids, they don’t like riding bikes at all. Has this ever happened to you? Ever have your bike stolen? Ever get it back? I think everyone has had this happen at least one in their life, just something we all have to deal with I guess.

VIDEO | Delhi: All India Bank Officers' Confederation (AIBOC) General Secretary, Rupam Roy, says, "On March 5, 2025, we had given a call for a strike, in which we raised many issues. The issues were five-day banking, non-implementation, and the lack of recruitment in banks. Along with that, PLI was also an issue, which at that time DFS had unilaterally proposed to implement in public sector banks for Scale IV and above. Whereas we have an agreement with the IBA that, from messenger to general manager, there was a uniform PLI formula under which, based on the bank's performance, there was a provision to give PLI from 0 days to 15 days... We gave a call for a strike over all these issues. After that, the CLC called us. Discussions were also held with the IBA, and in that CLC meeting, there were representatives of DFS, representatives of IBA, and representatives of all the unions of the United Forum." Tennessee Brando: For the first time in my life when I hear a sitting president talk, I say to myself, "We're going to have to hear from the ones we're at war with next to see what's really going on." And I never said that, even during the Bush years when we were at war in Iraq. I wasn't saying, "Oh, well, we better hear from Saddam Hussein next." And we know Bush and Cheney was lying their asses off. But this is a level that is beyond the Bush-Cheney lies. Because with Bush and Cheney, we knew they were lying and we knew exactly what they were lying about. With Donald Trump, it's just all these off-the-wall lies from every different direction. None of it makes sense.

Today is exactly 10 years since my injury that ended my skate career, at the age of 24. The animation explains exactly what that night was like, and how stupid it was, but also how gnarly it was. I ended up rupturing an artery, tore ACL, LCL, PCL, MCL, and stretched out the nerve in the back of my knee that caused me to have a permanent paralyzed foot (drop foot). I can’t begin to tell you how devastating it was to have something I loved so much taken away from me in seconds. My whole life was dedicated to skateboarding and it all changed over night, because of just one stupid moment. I’ve gone through a lot of ups and downs over the past 10 years, from hating skateboarding, wanting nothing to do with it, distancing myself from my skate friends - Then years later finding myself right back to loving skating and being apart of it again in different ways than just stepping on a skateboard. All of that has just been part of my healing process. I had a meeting with Rick, Carroll, and Smyth at Girl a few years back, requesting that we do a “Last Board”. They initially didn’t agree with me, but it was something that I really wanted to do. I felt just for the healing journey that I needed that chapter of my life to come to an end. I owe those dudes everything that I have in my life, Girl was my favorite company as a kid growing up, and I am so grateful that I was able to turn pro with them at 18 years old, and end my skate career with them (technically 10 years ago). I fucking LOVE Girl Skateboards forever. I also really like the idea of the board saying “GAME OVER” because it sounds so harsh, like “Dude, you broke your leg, you lose. You’re not Pro anymore. Game over” hahaha. I also just want to thank every single person that has supported me along the way of my skate career, from my family and friends, to every single person that we met at the demos and signings around the world. I am grateful for absolutely every second of it and all of it was a dream come true. And hopefully in 10 more years someone figures out how to cure some damn nerve damage. Shit. New part dropping 2034.

#WATCH | Hyderabad, Telangana: US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor says, "When the United States announced a new initiative called Pax Silica, India was one of the first 10 countries that we invited to join. That is because we trust India. When the United States needs medicine, 40 % of our generics today come from India. Why is that? Because we trust India. Earlier this morning, I was in Delhi meeting with your Commerce Minister, Piyush Goyal, and with our Trade Representative. One of my first goals getting here was finalizing a trade deal and we're very close to getting that finalized... Along with that trust, we have an incredible relationship between our president and our prime minister. I bring everyone here very warm greetings from the White House and from the president. In fact, I was just with him and Prime Minister Modi last week in France."

José Mourinho, 2011: "Why didn't the referee call 4 clear penalties for Chelsea? Why were Motta and Van Persie sent off? Why? Where does this power come from? Pep won a Champions League in a way that I would be embarrassed to win." Maybe he was right.
