This was not called an escape...

No dog in the fight but that was a bad no call

Two things: 1- Clear loss of control by top 2- Why didn't he just back out and get clear

Can't award the escape while he's in a front headlock position because 1-and-3 is clearly wrong for what is a reversal. If the period ends here of course it's 1, but he chose to reengage and got put back in a non-escape position. Mental mistake.

Have to have clear separation where both wrestlers are in a state of neutrality. The kid on bottom kept going for a reversal and in doing so gave Martin the opportunity to dive back on top before time expired, the right call was made
