This is a generational mindset - mindset of oppression/subjugation. These are the people whom they call the “custodians of customs/traditions” in our villages. Sadly, most millennials in Nigeria grew under parents like this which in most instances is very sad because the day you discover you have been tutored wrong all your life, that day you will see the impact it has had on your life and those around you. Some of the people commenting here, this is the mindset of their parents. This same man will send most of his kids abroad not because he believes in the liberal mindset but because it’s a thing of pride as his friends are doing it it will see him to belong. I mean, these is the mindset that foisted Tinubu in Nigeria. This is how Nigeria has partly remained in shackles where she is! I mean, how do you survive subjugating over 50-60% of your population who are women and then place the burden of 100% of that country on just over 40-50% men? Then you wonder why men are having shorter live expectancy and dying of stress and all avoidable social issues? Nigeria is undergoing an ideological Armageddon. This is the generation #Obidients have been battling with in the last election cycle till now.
