The car with the dash cam is a mature, patient driver. He was keeping good distance and was situationally aware. This could have ended with the boda guy and his passenger being run over.

Boda boda said no slowing down to yield for the matatu to enter , you know if head on collision happened,the bodas would have also paid a bigger price .in defensive driving we are taught to yield for an overtaking car and not to increase speed or match it's speed especially if there's on coming traffic

I don't know what the boda guy was trying to prove in as much as the Matatu mistimed the distance before overtaking. Just yield some space for him, No sane driver is risking an head on collision for a Boda Guy

That boda guy was not expecting such a move and if you know the road it happens so fast , Frame 2 even the seat got knocked of , the guy following them , thanks ma'an , if you were tailing, that could have been an override and overturning towards oncoming traffic. Scary indeed

I have seen what tailing has done to people... I never do that.

Boda guy was too much inside & was kinda playing tough. The matatu should have not runned though.

A distracted boda rider and an unsure 2NK van driver. If you intend to overtake, finya gari don't slow down mid overtaking , if you're slowing down abort the overtaking mission. This would have ended badly for the rider and pillion.

Nduthi guy lacks situational awareness. We can blame the ma3, but with defensive driving (biking), you take responsibility for your safety even in the provocation of others' recklessness. You assume others are mad, and you are the only sane person on the road. As a motorist, he should maintain extreme left in a two way.

I thought bodas only drive in the middle of the road here in Uganda, seems its regional. I don't understand the logic of a two wheeler taking on a whole lane and forcing four wheelers to move at their speed and pace. I don't see why the guy overtaking is being blamed, dotted lines basically means that he can overtake if he has good visibility of incoming traffic. Boda riders in this region need some serious road use awareness.

@ntsa_kenya Bodabodas need to be taken off highways. They can't maintain 80km/h and that is not safe. The should operate in the 50 or 80 kmph zones only with Tuktuks. Towns mainly. That's where their business is anyway. Highway should be for cars that can keep up and trucks.

most important thing is to arrive alive ,if you see other guy has made a mistake give way and help the guy ..your time will reach and utashukuru.. everyone makes mistakes..above all don't try to teach a stranger any lessons.u see someone rushing allow them! stomach issues 😂!

Instead if blaming the boda guy, why didn't the ma3 slow down after realizing they couldn't overtake the boda? They're all road users and overtaking is a decision made by the Ma3 driver. The boda was rightfully on the road

The Boda guy would have yielded the space, sometimes just little common sense on the road saves life.

The Nissan driver should be charged with reckless driving. Such dangerous behavior puts innocent road users at serious risk.@ntsa_kenya @NPSOfficial_KE

As much as the road is to be shared, the boda guy should have been riding near the outer road marking which is safe for them.

I hope the riders are okay. It was silly of the matatu driver. As a Kenyan driver and road user, my take is that the rider had space on the left to assess the incoming traffic and avoid that. Matatu drivers often cause accidents due to miscalculations.

That Boda guy is a killer kama tu huyo drivers. He should have given way, when he saw possibility of head on collision. Any other drivers will do that. Is good to detect possible danger early and safe your ass if you can.

On highway the safest you can be as a rider is by occuping a full lane and mantain speed such that when a car is overtaking they have to do it just like it's another car otherwise utashinda ukirushwa nje ya Barabara. Mat ilifanya wrong calculation Rider hakuwa Rada ya side mirror
