Shibata tanking the rainmaker is prolly the greatest thing I've ever seen in a wrestling match

He nearly fucking died because of that. It was an incredibly dumb spot. It's frankly a miracle he was even able to rehabilitate himself to the point he can even step in the ring. He's amazing to watch but let's not celebrate these sorts of dumb risks.

I need everybody who aint watched Shibata before NOW to go back and just watch his run leading up to this. New Japan Cup and all. Mans was on FIRE. This match was the icing on the cake and the cherry on top.
