Its funny how after the Wii's success both microsoft amd playstation tried to copy the avatar stuff amd both attempts eventually faded away. Meanwhile nintendo is still using the Mii's and they are going strong and no signs of nintendo abandoning them

I remember around when I first got access to internet as a kid I spent a whole morning watching my character do all the animations in the Xbox store for the first time and thought it was the coolest shit ever

This was something really unique xbox used to do that set them apart from play station in a meaningful way even if it was minor. It made YOU hype to play on YOUR console with YOUR avatar in the home screen. Then they just quit it. Prolly contributed to them fallin off tbh.

Then they replaced it with terrible looking avatars and added LGBTQ options and later they got rid of original and new avatars. They should bring back Original avatars and bring back the NXE dashboard for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
