The three CUSMA options on July 1: 1. Formal renewal for 16 years. Canada and Mexico want this. Trump said this morning that he is not looking to renew. 2. Formal withdrawal. Jim and Iain don't see this happening. 3. No action, triggering annual rolling reviews for up to 10 years. Which means CUSMA stays in place but with a screw that can be tightened every year. This will most likely happen and it is not a win for Canada. It is entering a permanent negotiation with a country that just said on camera it does not need anything Canada has. The Liberals think they're winning at home. But they're losing everything for Canada abroad.

At the Forever Canada rally, I asked a man why he supports staying in Canada. He started by talking ranting about something he heard about in the bible that he doesn't like. Apparently that has something to do about why Alberta should stay in Canada. I asked him if I should be allowed to have my religious beliefs as he was mocking me. Then I asked about Bill C-9, online speech laws, metadata collection, and the push toward government ID to access the internet under the excuse of protecting children. His response was basically: I trust the government and everything is ok... That is the problem. Too many Forever Canada supporters are attached to a sentimental idea of Canada, while blindly accepting censorship, surveillance, control, and federal intrusion. “Canada forever” means “just surrender forever.” Is this is really the future you want? Trump told Leslie Stahl something years ago that everyone should hear. She asked Trump he kept calling the media fake news. He said, I do it because I need to discredit you, so that when you say negative things about me, nobody believes you. That is EXACTLY what he’s done. The problem everyone has with him is that most of us grew up with values, ethics, and integrity. That is not Donald Trump. He figured out a long time ago that he can bully his way through any rule and if he keeps pushing harder and harder, people will relent. For most of his life they did, but we must stand up against it.

Norm Eisen is no doubt working with his longtime friend Barry Pollack who is Maduro’s attorney. Norm uses proxies to do his dirty work (like he did with the state “fake electors” cases including Fani Willis). Trump pulled Norm’s security clearance. Someone needs to make sure that is the case and if so, that Norm is not receiving classified information. Norm does not care about Maduro. He cares about defeating Trump. That has been his life’s mission for 10 years which has led to most of the chaos and division in our country. Norm should have been indicted months ago.

If you can't be friends with Canada, then you almost certainly do not have friends anywhere in the world. And that is a very lonely place to be.' And one of the things I made very clear is that I respect Canadian sovereignty and appreciate the relationship we have with Canada. And folks clapped for that. They were grateful for that.
