This was the real gold rush. Whatever you found first and managed to keep (keep others from taking it from you) was yours. This is how post-cataclysm civilization was formed. MudFlood.

I agree. While there was gold to be found in streams & mines, the real wealth was the abandoned magnificent buildings. "Founded" means FOUND, not BUILT. Imagine the pistol show downs as more than 1 arrived at the same time & the carpet baggers who came in to claim it was theirs.

Doing remodel work and digging out pits for ejector pumps in basements……I always encounter a thick layer of mud and have found old red pieces of bricks and always thought nothing of it. Now it tells a different story.

I’ve been reflecting on the concept of worldwide liquefaction lately, and it’s such a fascinating phenomenon! Just imagine how saturated soil can lose its strength and act like a fluid, especially during an earthquake. It reminds me of wiggling my toes in wet sand at the beach—it’s such a perfect analogy! This really highlights the power of nature and how unexpectedly the earth can shift beneath us. It’s both awe-inspiring and humbling! The question now is: was it natural or intentional?

One of the problems with this narrative is that to endure, it would require another destruction of records on the scale of the burning of Alexandria. Fairly sure that didn't happen. Just anotehr FE style con rolled out by the company to distract and confuse.

Wow ! Never saw pictures of the mud flood like this. Looks like right after it happened. Not after they covered it all up.
