INVESTING IN OUR CHILDREN IS PRIORITY: Usha Vance was asked about her efforts to help the literacy rate of children increase, and it's something she's PASSIONATE about: "I think one way we can kind of counteract that is giving them the tools they need to be able to think critically and pursue whatever it is that they care about, but also the gift of concentration and focus in a really challenging world and I see childhood literacy is the start of all that." Our children are the FUTURE of the country, and we should be doing EVERYTHING we can to ensure that they have a foundational education that sets them up for SUCCESS!

We acknowledge what other leaders are doing to bring change in Kenya. In remembrance of our fallen and standing heroes, we will support every effort in our shared vision of a new Kenya. On 20th Mashujaa Day we will be in Narok for a symbolic cleanup. The meeting point will be communicated. To those who have asked for urgent street protests against the ills of this government, i agree with you. However, I urge you to remember the need to build momentum before you engage. Civic Education is still needed in 70% of our nation for a national consensus on the change we want. This struggle is for all of us. It should not be left to the youthful GenZ or the people in towns and cities. We need everyone on board. #FagiaKwako

Far too many children are being left without the support they need to find their voice, build confidence, and reach their full potential. This is not just an educational issue, it’s about fairness, opportunity, and giving every child the best possible start in life. Mikey’s determination and courage continue to inspire me, and I am grateful to Chris Kamara for helping shine a national spotlight on this vital cause. Let me be absolutely clear: I will not stop fighting for the resources our schools and children deserve. Every child should have access to the support they need to succeed, and I will keep pushing until that becomes a reality.
