How do you decide the color of the shadows / the palette? This is so beautiful but I find it hard to pick colors that are these unique and pretty so i just end up more realistic :(

I plan out colors with blending modes, curve, gradient maps etc on top of base colors like this! it help visualize the overall colors of the piece so i can adjust as i go. i like complementary colors next to each other or opposite spectrum for contrast

Amazing work, because of it I am starting to follow your work, I have a question, what type of exercises you recommend for an artist like me to improve the colour palette choices, I've been struggling with what colour choice I use for white fabric (like this one) thank u

since white can go with anything, i usually try to match its surrounding. i wanted this piece to be more blue dominant so the shadow are blue tones. i’m practicing using more gray tones here but gray can looks dull so i mixed in more saturated blue and try keep value consistent

where did you learn to pick colours for white fabric that look so vibrant without being overpowering 🥺 ive been struggling with the exact thing ur doing for soooo long so i have to ask

i map out colors using blending mode and then use that to choose. i usually pick colors based on it’s relation to whole piece and colors next to it and try to keep values consistent. i like to mix desaturated gray tones with more saturated colors so saturation pops out i guess

i see i see can i ask how you chose these orangey/pink highlighty bits and where to put them? theyre super pretty :D if it were me i probably would have struggled to get out of the purpley tone here (especially in the more shadowed area) would also love to know more about +

your go to blending modes and colours on them if youre willing to share. somehow i always end up with muddy colours when i dont manually pick LOL sorry for all the questions i just very much admire your skill in this area 💜 you clearly know what youre doing with colours :D

ajsjsjs i’m still practicing for more consistent results 🥹 i use hard light for lighting, overlay on top for glow, reflective lights and terminator (line where shadow and light meet) i like cool shadows and warm lights since warm and cool create a visual contrast

it’s called soft brush v2 and i got it on csp store a long time ago. i’m not sure if the uploader deleted it or not though because i tried to find it using that name and the search didn’t show up…? 🫠

@fyshb0t i tried that but i can’t find matching brush…i do have lots of brushes from asian artists with file names in japanese or korean 🧍‍♀️idk about tech stuffs so idk how to upload the brushes i have though 😭
