I've found this from the NYC website : the pesticide contain DEET, picaridin, oil of lemon eucalyptus or IR3535 also it seem that it is not the first year that they apply this pesticide this video was upload to youtube 9 years ago.

Never lived down south did he? We had crop planes that sprayed chemicals in the late afternoons for mosquitoes. No warning, We stayed outside playing & watching the plane.

Down here in the South we call these "skeeter trucks" and they run every 3rd Wednesday of the month and kids chase after them like ice-cream trucks lol YEEYEE!
