Ross Chastain said that when the guy who leaned into his window grabbed his head, he thought he was just saying good job in an excited way. But then he took his hat off his head, did a dance and said "I got your hat! I got your hat!", and ran away. Chastain's winning hats are important to him, so he made sure (in no uncertain terms) NASCAR security took care of it and got his hat back. Big thank you to Dustin Long for letting me use his video. Something went wrong with NASCAR's video/audio so it wasn't usable.

What he does is he grabs the back of his head and he just starts tugging on it. The idea was he would pull it as far as he could, and then we would take over stretching the image, making it appear to be distorting in a way that it physically couldn’t. Then basically when I shot Vince I just kept urging him to pull harder, and harder, and harder until finally the final take he just pulled it until the makeup just ripped. We’ve seen a lot of dogs in bad conditions but I think this lovely boy might be the worst pain I’ve ever seen a dog in. We’d been told about him by a kind man in the community who found him but had no idea how to help beyond giving him water, food and putting a little electric fan on him. He eventually got through to us in sheer desperation. The dog has been there for days apparently and probably hit by some sort of major trauma. He hasn’t eaten or drank his water and he was laying in his own pee and poop. That little alley way was where it was all going to end very soon because I could see from his gums and other signs he was in big big trouble. We had to just go for it and make a stretcher with what we had and push through the pain. It took us 40 minutes to get back to Tina’s hospital and he screamed at every tiny bump on the road. I thought his spine was broken and was super relieved when it wasn’t. I thought he might be so bad that we’d never be posting this video as it might be better to put him out of his misery. He is very sick and has some stuff going on internally but it is pelvis related we believe. He is by no means 100% going to make it as he has so much going on inside him but we have some hope now. The team are in full action mode to try and save him. I called him Bear as he is a big fluffy gentle giant I can tell. I’m not sure how this story ends but it’s already better than he was alone in that alley this morning. He’s having a huge sleep now with lots of pain relief and meds. 🤞🤞🤞

Only for him to tell us his name is George Kakuwa. Then he went on to say he was the boy who walked 200km to Rundu to attend the founding father's memorial service last year (2025) in February. I of course searched up the newspaper article just to make sure it was him. Before I could even verify, he continued saying he never got his money and he never went back to school. Most of us remember this story, and how he was hailed as a symbol of youthful inspiration, so much so that a certain amount was pledged to help him and his grandmother with his school. But according to him, it never reached the boy or the family. I recorded the video as evidence, his words are his own whether true or not. Someone should definitely follow up on this story to verify. A hard rescue today as I got a message from a kind local lady who needed help with an old blind dog. The poor boy was most likely dumped in the area because the “end was close for him”. He was confused on the beach and stuck. He wouldn’t have lasted much longer were it not for their bravery. His vet results were about as bad as it gets. His eyes might be glaucoma as he can’t see a thing and his kidneys and liver are bad as well as severe anemia. His anemia is so bad we can’t even put him on a drip. While I was driving him around I just had to keep talking to him as his head would keep dropping. His body is so weak. He is also very hard to handle as he lashes out with bites as he can’t see what is going on around him. He is terrified. The ladies called him Rocky as they are hoping he will make a comeback. It won’t be easy at all but he did start eating, drinking and resting well this evening. We will all have to keep everything crossed for this lovely boy. Whatever happens he isn’t on his own and he has the best medical care now. Rocky even let me pet his head tonight. I think he understands he is safe.

I first met little Tommy about 10 months ago… 🌴 He was about 2 months old in the jungle with no mum or siblings 🦠 He disappeared for 3 days with parvo and we thought he’d died. 🦴 He then had his leg / hip broken and hid himself away. Only a local lady was able to show me where he’d hidden 👩‍⚕️ We got his operation and rehabbed him for 6 months 🏡 Decided he couldn’t go back on the streets as he would die ✈️ Last week he flew to his forever him in England. He took it all in his stride. Travel, weather, new family. No problem for Tommy. Rehoming a few street dogs won’t solve the overall problem like I hope to do. But people always ask me how I get over all the hard losses etc. The answer is seeing the photos and videos of dogs like Tommy in the last 30 seconds of this video and the looks on his new mums face. Normally broken dogs come into my life and after a few months with us I am just like everybody else following their lives on Instagram. Today was already the highlight of my year as I got to see Bob! Bob was always very special to me as a gentle soul on the streets who I looked forward to seeing every single day with Angelina. My feeding route feels a bit empty without them and there isn’t a day I don’t look at their little spot and think back. We took him through the grief process which was very hard for him but I am so proud of him in his new home. He couldn’t have wished for better parents who dote upon him and his sister is a superstar. I loved watching the new confident Bob strutting around the beach. I’d never seen the side if him on the streets as he was just surviving there. He still loves to look around and see his sister and parents with his little side eye. Bob was always happy to be a pack member and he really has that now. Somewhere up there Angelina is looking down singing a little song for Bob that he is so happy. I didn’t want to wear my new T-Shirt that Matilda got me as it is so special but I figured I won’t have a bigger more exciting thing to go to the meeting Bob! Best. Day. Ever.

I loved watching the new confident Bob strutting around the beach. I’d never seen the side if him on the streets as he was just surviving there. He still loves to look around and see his sister and parents with his little side eye. Bob was always happy to be a pack member and he really has that now. Somewhere up there Angelina is looking down singing a little song for Bob that he is so happy. I didn’t want to wear my new T-Shirt that Matilda got me as it is so special but I figured I won’t have a bigger more exciting thing to go to the meeting Bob! Best. Day. Ever.

wonbin’s childhood injury lore is actually insane 😭 apparently, wonbin’s mom raised him tough. he once injured his knee while exercising and had to wear a full leg cast, but even though his school and home were in completely opposite directions and quite far apart, he just walked home like that. in gyeongsang-do, unless you’re literally falling apart, you go anyway~ he knee got scraped up so badly that it had a hole in it and was bleeding, but they just told him, “go wash it and come back~” 😭 when he was little, about one-third of his left earlobe got torn, and they just treated it with fucidin. he even joked that this earlobe was basically made with fucidin. there was also a time when he was playing futsal with his friends in the middle of winter and hit his ear on a bent wire fence. his ear was bleeding profusely, but he was so scared that his parents would find out and scold him that, instead of going to the ER, he went to his friend’s house and treated it with some “white medicine,” “red medicine,” fucidin, and madecassol. he also once got a cut near the outer corner of his left eye. His P.E. teacher immediately covered his eye with a handkerchief, and that’s when he realized it was bleeding. but because he loved guitar so much and had an after-school guitar class, he just got it roughly treated at the nurse’s office and went to guitar class. even his lower back only hurts on the left side. everything is on the left. and when he was little, he once hurt the back of his right hand while playing. it bruised, but he was afraid his mom would find out and scold him, so he didn’t tell her. apparently, the tendon ended up sticking out / shifting out of place 😭
