New brand looks great! Just a heads up though. Seems that anything you moved to the media subdomain hasn’t been 301 redirected. So your podcast pages + every episode page is 404’ing from Google search. (Couldn’t DM you, I’m not premium).

Soyeon on the name change & new lightstick: It's like a sign of determination to move on to the next chapter. So with this new lightstick… of course we feel a little sad about it too. But since we changed from (G)I-DLE to i-dle, Neverland too, let's all go to the next chapter together. Instead of just saying "it's a shame" about what we did before, if we had stayed as (G)I-DLE, I think I would've thought, "I'd probably have to do something like 'LATATA' again. I'd probably have to do something like 'TOMBOY' again." But because we're i-dle now, it creates new things I can challenge myself with again. So I'm very satisfied with removing the "G" and becoming i-dle. Somehow, we've ended (G)I-DLE… and now that we're i-dle, I thought, "Let's do something new." Like starting a new chapter with a new heart, let's go again. When you start with a new heart, you end up loving it more, and more new thoughts come. Let's go together like this. And if a few years later we feel that way again, then let's go to another new chapter together. Let's do that. Until the day we really do trot.

Jack Dorsey on becoming a better storyteller: "I found myself very early on thinking about something like thinking about this early idea for Twitter and saying to myself, I could build this awesome. You have those shower-like moments, or you're walking at midnight in some town in New York City, and you've got these amazing brand ideas. And then you start thinking, well, I could really start doing this if only X and if I had this person or if this technology existed or if this happened or this happened. And what I realized was that I was constantly making excuses for not working on it. And then the window had passed, and then I couldn't do anything. So I think it's really, really important to write it out or to draw it out or to code it. But you need to get it out of your head. And the reason you have to get it out of your head is that you need to be able to see it on a surface that is not in your mind. And once you can see it, and once you can step back from it, then you can also decide this passes my filter, my constraints, so maybe I can show it and share it with some other people. And then they will be like that's the stupidest idea ever and or that's somewhat interesting, but maybe this and this and this. So the sooner you can do that, then you have a lot of momentum around it, and you can really decide if you want to commit to it and work on it more or put it on the shelf for a later date. And the realization that I think everyone needs to have about that latter option, putting it on the shelf, is that you can come back to it and it will surface back up in another piece of work or another idea at some point in your life. So having that ability to close off a chapter and move on is really, really important. You can't have all these open threads, and that's what I realized I was doing. And that also encouraged me to really write more and to really think about what's the story? How are people coming to this? And like when I show my friends this, how are they going to react and I would write it down. I would actually treat it like a play. And when I realized that I was writing plays, I read a lot more plays for style and for substance and for technique and I think it's really good. I think there is another company that I have always looked towards for inspiration and I know a number of people in this room probably have a similar company in mind, which is Apple. Apple, I think, is run like a theater company. It has a great sense of pacing, has a great sense of story and has a great sense of execution and it's all about event-driven, it's all stage-driven, the stage being a billboard or the stage being a keynote or the stage being a product launch. All of it has a very, very cohesive end-to-end story. I mean you think about what happened when Steve Jobs came back to the company. The first thing he did was kill every product line the company was working on. And for two years,rs they had no product on the market whatsoever. All they had were a bunch of posters all around the world with Steve Jobs' heroes, and it said, think different. And it was just focused on bringing up the brand and making people aware of the brand again and how the brand is aligning to this particular feeling and story. And then they came out with the iMac and then built iTunes and then the iPod, and they realized that, wait a minute, people are carrying music on their phones now, so we better build a phone, an iPhone. And so this unfolding of the plot and the epic story has been very, very interesting to watch, especially if you look back to that time when he came back to the company. So I've learned a lot from that company and other companies that operate in a similar fashion."

"Well, I mean it could be so much worse." 😭 "Such a big rule regulation change, so to get through the day without too many major, there were no major issues, it's just small little increments that we're trying to improve on, I think it's great and as I said, we just need to try and get some more days like this." Q: So what is on the checklist for the rest of the week for you, a couple more days of running coming up? "Well, hoping to experience the car on the dry and I think just understanding balance, understanding the new SM that we have and how to utilise it and feel it, I've not driven it in the dry so I don't really have a feeling for it, obviously we drove it in the wet which is only the front part and then just understanding the deployment, I think deployment's going to be crucial and understanding that, how to utilise the power, the battery throughout the lap and recharging, all that kind of stuff but I mean we've done a huge amount of work, everyone's done a huge amount of work on the simulator so it's not like it's 100% brand new for us but we still have to go through our sessions and through the data to try and optimise it." #F1Testing

We had another very productive session, building off Geneva, building off the events of this week. As I told you earlier this morning, our goal here is to end the war, but it's more than just to end the war. We don't just want to end the war. We also want to help Ukraine be safe forever, so never again will they face another invasion. And equally importantly, we want them to enter an age of true prosperity. We want the Ukrainian people to emerge from this war, not just to rebuild their country, but to build it back in a way that will be stronger and more prosperous than it's ever been. And so this is comprehensive, what we're working on here today. It's not just about the terms that end fighting. It's about also the terms that set up Ukraine for long-term prosperity. I thought we started laying the groundwork for that, most certainly in Geneva. I think we continue that work in our communications throughout the week. I think we built on that again today, but there's more work to be done. This is delicate. It's complicated. There are a lot of moving parts, and obviously there's another party involved here that they'll have to be a part of the equation. And that will continue later this week, when Mr. Witkoff travels to Moscow, although we've also been in touch in varying degrees with the Russian side, but we have a pretty good understanding of their views as well. So much work remains, but today was again a very productive and useful session where I think additional progress was made, and we continue to be realistic about how difficult this is, but optimistic, particularly given the fact that as we've made progress, I think there is a shared vision here that this is not just about ending the war, which is very important. Allow me to break character for a second and not talk about business ideas. I actually had to step out of church to get this thought out of my head. I go to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We used to be called Mormons. And this morning our dear prophet died. This same morning, one of our churches came under attack. There was a gunman situation and a church of ours is still on fire. One viral tweet said “Christianity is under attack.” And I don't know if I agree with that statement, and that's not what this post is about. But the top comment on that post was, “Mormons aren't Christian.” And I just wanted to dispel that myth real quick. I understand why many evangelicals think this. It's because we have differing views of the Godhead. We believe that the Godhead is three distinct personages, and they believe it's one person. But just imagine living your life as a Christian, serving others as Christ would, getting to the pearly gates and hearing, “Oh, sorry, you didn't quite understand those four verses in the New Testament quite right. So, you're not allowed in here.” I just don't believe it works that way. So, fellow Christians all around the world, know that we're all in this together. We're on the same side of the table. We're on the same team. And we need each other. So, if a member of my faith has ever positively impacted you in any way, and then you hear someone say that we're not Christians, please, stand up for us, just like I'll stand up for you. Abraham Lincoln once said, “I do not like that man. I must get to know him better.” So, let's get to know each other a little better, and you'll soon see that we are all Christians. And not only because of what we say, but because of what we do and what we believe.

And I know I'm going to get in trouble because talking about it is against the contract I signed, which should have been the first red flag, but I got to tell my side of the story. So my brother's lived in Los Angeles for the past three years, and I was down there for about a week visiting. Well, around night five or six, he told me that he's going to go do something tomorrow and he's going to make some money. So I inquired, well, what do you got to do? I want to make some money, too. So he's like, yeah, bro, you can come with me. And I don't know all the details about what we're going to be doing yet, but I'm getting paid $150 a day to essentially protest something in a peaceful manner that is protected by the Constitution. I said okay I'm coming. So morning time rolls around, we get ready and we go. We pull up to the address. Now, the address is like a warehouse. I'm like, whoa, bro, I did not sign up to work a factory job. He goes, I promise, this is not that. Just come inside. So as soon as you enter the doors of this place, you are now in a line. Jensen: "So the question is how do I convey my vision to the employees and how do we convey a sense of urgency? First of all, you convey your vision the good old-fashioned way. And it's about telling a story. I'm not the best storyteller in the world, and I'm not the best, I don't enjoy public speaking, actually. And if you were to give me a choice right now between doing this versus just answering one of your emails, and I'll give you all my email address, you could all send me an email, and I'd be glad to respond to it. I'd rather do that. You know, I'm still an engineer, and I'm introverted by design, I guess. And I don't find myself particularly articulate. And so I don't enjoy the process of public speaking. But you have to force yourself to do it. It's for a good reason. It's for a good cause. I have to admit that speaking to my employees or speaking to NVIDIA's employees is the single most intimidating thing that I do. It freaks me out. And the reason for that is because I respect their time so much, and I know how important the meeting is, that in your own mind, the bar and the responsibility is extraordinary. But you have to put yourself, and I'm speaking to engineers here, you have to force yourself to communicate at a bigger picture level. You have to force yourself to practice. And it's something that over time you get better at. In terms of how do we communicate a sense of urgency? Just through action. They have to see that when I make decisions or when I do something or when something is near my field of influence, my scope of influence, that I do it with a sense of urgency. And it's amazing what that does. People simply pick up those habits from you. If your CEO works hard, you'll work hard. If your CEO cares, you'll care. If your CEO loves this company, you'll love this company. If your CEO is passionate about the work that we do, you'll be passionate about the work that we do. If your CEO does everything with an extraordinary sense of purpose and intensity and sense of urgency, you will too. It's amazing what happens when you're a leader of anything, whether you're a leader of a project team or, right? As I say that, you could almost everybody just, yeah, I get it. Leader of a project team or a leader of a lab team. The behavior and the values and the habits of that leader has an amazing way of rubbing off on everybody else."
