The strike hasn’t affected me but the 13 years of Tory mismanagement of the NHS has. Pay your public sector professionals properly, fund the services properly and none of this would be happening.

Fully support doctors. As a former nurse , I've seen first hand the awful conditions they work under.

Agree it’s heinous for those awaiting surgery to have it cancelled. 300,000 appointments today versus a million when we have no junior doctors joining the NHS. Hourly rate £14 + owing £000s/5 years plus tuition fees. Barista £13 + no training debt(?). GMB presenter hourly rate?

I am on my way to a radiotherapy appointment which is going ahead. It should be at the centre where I started my treatment but chronic government underfunding cause the closure and I have to travel twice as far to get it. It's not the doctors, it's the tories who's at fault.

You highlight the impact of the Junior Doctors that is very unfortunate but what options are left to save our NHS. Safety of patients is at risk everyday due to staff shortages, pay and stress are so bad staff are leaving .

It’s made me worried that all the clever brilliant doctors will just leave and take up jobs in Europe, Australasia or the US. More pay and cheaper living and better funded medicine. Good will alone keeps people here.

There have been cancellations long before any strike actions, due to medical staff overworked and unable to come in, which is really what this is about, better pay more practical hours, how do you get treated properly when staff is on their knees collectively

Although I have the utmost sympathy with anyone whose treatment has been cancelled I support the doctor’s strike. This isn’t just about money it is about the future of the nhs.
