@FilippoGrandi Well NATO and UN have commitments to global security. So please explain, why since 24.02.2022 do Ukrainians have to suffer from Russian bombs? Thank you.

@FilippoGrandi Keep people at home (in peace). Means stop (costly) talking, start acting. Otherwise go away.

@FilippoGrandi I'm sick of the never ending deluge of refugees into the west. These people need to learn how to live in their nations, create peaceful nations and fight for that peace. We are not the world's babysitter.

At #UNGA this week, UNICEF’s message to world leaders is clear. Put children first. Investing in their education, health and protection is how we build a healthier, more peaceful and prosperous future-for everyone.

To address global challenges, countries must cooperate closely. At #UNGA next week, I’ll join the Summit of the Future, which aims to build a new international consensus for a better present and safer future. The health highlight will be the High-Level Meeting on #AntimicrobialResistance, where we urge world leaders to commit to ensuring the future of modern medicine.

A simple but powerful principle: people forced to flee should not be left without protection. 75 years after the Refugee Convention was adopted, it remains a lifeline for millions of refugees. Today, world leaders gathered at #UNGA to recommit to the life-saving document.

In Venezuela, I walked alongside people rebuilding their lives after years away and families recovering from the earthquakes. On my first visit as UN High Commissioner for Refugees, I saw resilience, possibility and hope for a future in safety, opportunity and dignity.

I am in New York to join the United Nations and world leaders at #UNGA. On #PeaceDay, I hope this week reminds us what diplomacy is for: finding what unites us, even when so much divides us. The best medicine is peace.
