This is great for my Constituency,Tino! Wedza and Sadza ,are my Roots. A great initiative,training them in different skills and trades will empower them for the long term as opposed to giving them handouts like turaisi and so on. Go further if you can,by enrolling some youngsters to polytechnic as well. Well done!

Today, I had the honour of joining His Grace Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi and the Zion Christian Church family at Defe in Gokwe, where we celebrated 450 ZCC youths graduating with practical and vocational skills. Through the partnership between the ZCC and the Ministry of Youth Empowerment Development and Vocational Training our young people have been equipped with skills that can transform their lives, families and communities. This is empowerment in action moving our youth from training to production, from job seeking to job creation and from dependency to economic participation. I commend the ZCC for demonstrating the powerful role the Church can play in national development. Faith, skills and hard work must translate into productivity. Together we are building an empowered and prosperous Zimbabwe.

The argument for conservation of wetlands and green belts in order preserve waterbodies in the country and in particular Lake Chivero has been reiterated over the years but ignored. The 'war' is now lost as the Zanu PF Government gave an open cheque for party-connected land barons to willy-nilly sell residential and commercial stands around Harare. "If we can create a society which sees the child within every adult – and the adult within every child - we will finally start to change it for the better." We want to make the link between the skills we develop in early childhood and the core foundations that set us up for life and help us to thrive as adults. To help give social and emotional skills the greater priority they deserve, The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood has conducted a first-of-its-kind global listening exercise, involving experts from 21 countries around the world, to catalogue and identify the skills in this area that matter most throughout our lives. The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood has undertaken work to find a common bridge and set of core skills that can apply equally to children and adults, so we can bring people together with a common language and vision to drive action at every level – protecting and strengthening these skills for current and future generations across the whole of society. Through this exercise we found consensus around a set of skills that we develop and nurture during early childhood, but that continue to be enhanced and refined as we grow into adults. They relate to knowing ourselves, managing our emotions, focusing our thoughts, communicating with others, nurturing our relationships, and exploring the world. These are the skills that lay the foundations for our positive future mental health and resilience throughout our lives. As Minister of ICT, I certified 195 digital skills graduates in Hwedza South and we again launched a free WiFi zone at St. Anne’s Goto School under the President Internet Scheme program implementation. We have empowered youth with digital skills training using our Digi truck.The wifi hotspot will enhance education and access to connectivity in our rural areas. We showcased our digital access solutions to the Kenyan MPs who were invited by Hon Machakaire. There was also a graduation ceremony of 500 graduates on a skills development programme which the Ministry of Youth Empowerment has partnered with Tonganyika Trust.This was a great event. The Policy tackles key challenges affecting our youth, including unemployment, drug and substance abuse, mental health, skills development, digital transformation, climate change, and youth participation. Together, we are laying a strong foundation for a future where every young Zimbabwean can thrive and contribute meaningfully to national development.
