A local student is receiving a full ride to college thanks to an Orioles scholarship. Amina Rice, a Harlem Park eighth grader and soon-to-be Western High student, is the inaugural recipient of the Birdland Next Up Scholarship. The club awarded her the scholarship, which will provide a full ride to college after she graduates from Western, during their game Friday at Camden Yards as Orioles president of business operations Catie Griggs watched on.
