Earlier, it was present in 390 locations, after the budget, 110 more centres will be added. Compensation for sewer deaths will be raised, and compensation for disability in the case of a sewer victim will be introduced. Surojit Nath Mitra will be appointed as the Advocate General of West Bengal. June 20 is to be celebrated as the Paschimbanga Diwas (West Bengal Day). On the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on July 5, a year-long state-wide celebration will be held, and the foundation stone of a 125ft statue of him will be laid on the same day."

According to National Family Health Survey-5 (NFHS-5) data, the vegetarian population in West Bengal is extremely low, with roughly 1.4% to less than 1.5% of adults identifying as strictly vegetarian. Over 98.5% adults in West Bengal consume fish, meat, or eggs regularly. Which means, if fish/other non veg food is served during Durga Pooja in #WestBengal it is with everyone's agreement and it is not that a small faction of Hindus is doing it and they need to be taken to task and boycotted.(as is being claimed by this godman).
