The line "What is it that you want?" hit me right in the feels. The man is basically asking what his little bean wants and no matter what it is, as long as it can make her smile, he'll make it possible for her. Hugh seemed like such a carefree guy who laughed at his buddy for being a dad with responsibilities, and yet this little girl completely hardwired his brain into father mode without him even realizing it. Hugh finally understands why his friend wanted to rush back to his family after work and why it was the best thing ever for him. He finally got to feel that himself. I'm still early in the game, but I'm totally in love with it. This is exactly the kind of game I've been waiting to play, nothing but pure feels and wholesomeness.

One thing that Baekhyun is also good at is holding back his tears, but last night, as much as he wanted to hold it back, tears fell down and he started crying. Now this... Elvis is my absolute favorite musician of all time. And this is what I will listen to if I need to laugh. There is no way in hell you can listen to him laughing and not lose it. His laughter was just a beautiful as his voice and absolutely infectious. the way you literally *see* the anxiety seep into his features when he’s compared to tiger woods and serena williams. all shane ever wanted to do was play hockey, and the expectations on him as a POC to break barriers was huge. the concept of being outed and adding to those expectations of being a “trailblazer” must have been incomprehensible. as an asian player in a predominantly white sport, he always has to be a step above the rest just to be comfortable occupying the same space. adding queerness into the mix is another layer of “otherness” that is terrifying for someone like shane who’s only ever wanted to fit in and be recognised for his sport rather than as a public persona. he never wanted to be a role model and i just know that the pressure of that weighs on him. it’s something i definitely want to see explored from shane’s side in the show as well. of course we know ilya’s struggles and they’re explored in depth as they should be - but i’d love to see some exploration of the fact that as a white person ilya just gets to be good at hockey. for shane, being good at hockey will ALWAYS come with the extra weight/responsibility of knowing he’s a role model and he’s representing something bigger. it’s no wonder he’s desperate to find control in other areas of his life (his diet, his exercise routine etc).
