Had season tickets with my dad that year. He told me he would be out of work late that day so I found someone to go. He got out on time but insisted I go since I made plans. I even said, "its Kersh day, he could throw a no-no". He regrets it to this day.

I live in Finland, last time in LA was 2014. With my wife that was our last night. I said let’s go to 1 more dodger game. She said let’s just go to a bar to hang out enjoy our last night. Said fine, we already went to a game and it was our last night. See on the tv, no hitter.

I was the television director for the Dodgers for 14 years. I had just done the first 50 games and that was the first night I took off for a vacation.

Selfish of me to say, but I had tickets to Game 6 of the Dodgers/A's World Series in 1988. You know, the one where Kirk Gibson hit his famous homer to win game 1. My "overmatched" Dodgers won the whole thing in 5 games, so no need for a game 6. Hard to be sad but, Damn!
