So basically how to ruin bread and butter pudding.

Exactly! Going overboard on sugar, cream, or extras can mask the classic flavors of bread and butter pudding. Keeping it simple often gives the best, most comforting results.

Who puts smelly HAIR REMOVAL CREAM in the fridge?

Haha, that’s a strange one! Definitely not something you’d normally store in the fridge. Seeing that next to food would throw anyone off a bit.

I’m a fan of pumpkin but not a fan of diabetes, hard pass 🤢

Different people but same world

Make sure you don’t accidentally grab the Nair cream depilatory when looking for ingredients in that fridge.

Of cause yes

Dogs licking your spoon. One star for hygiene

We are different people with different manners. it is better to focus on good and ignore bad things. no one is perfect, remember that.

No but there should be some standards in a kitchen.

I personally find it a bit uncomfortable to see dogs licking cooking utensils. Even if they are well cared for and vaccinated, dogs’ mouths still contain different types of bacteria, which is completely normal. But I’d rather keep pet items separate from kitchen utensils.

That’s a fair point. Even with well-cared-for pets, it’s understandable to prefer keeping kitchen utensils separate for hygiene reasons. Everyone has their own comfort level, and maintaining cleanliness in food preparation is important.

This is neither Heritage, nor medicine Hygiene alert: >glass bowl over the bread? Do you really want to transfer the worktop bacteria to your food? >dogs licking the utensils? Why? *tons of tins, processed contents and calories. I’ll pass.Thank you

Even people are not pure

and your point is?

Different people, Different desire and different life styles

Different yes! Like I said, it’s neither heritage, nor medicine, or hygienic. I rest my case.

If you purposely want your family as unhealthy as possible, go ahead and serve this up. Good grief! She even said something like, “if you want it healthier”. 🤣 There’s nothing healthy about this mess.

get your point ,it’s definitely a very indulgent dish and not healthy by most standards. Sometimes recipes are meant as occasional treats rather than everyday meals. Moderation is key if you want to enjoy it without overdoing it.

Great. I’m happy to see you admit it’s an unhealthy indulgence.

Love my animals to death, but ain’t no way in HELL

Did anybody else catch the Nair in the refrigerator?

Not only you

How do you start cooking something with a stale bread? Throw that shit into the gabbage!

Stale bread can actually be really useful in cooking. It works great for things like French toast, croutons, or bread pudding. Instead of throwing it away, you can turn it into something tasty and avoid wasting food.

@Mazi_Clem And it soaks up the liquids better and doesn’t turn to a gooey paste when it does.

@Mazi_Clem Exactly! That’s why slightly stale bread works so well ,it absorbs the liquid without falling apart, keeping a nice texture instead of turning into a mushy paste. It really makes a difference in the final dish.

how about no dessert or fruit… …an as an american, i’m disgusted by the display of prepackaged food used here 😞

I understand your reaction. Prepackaged ingredients aren’t everyone’s favorite, especially when fresh alternatives exist. Some people use them for convenience, but it can definitely look less appealing to those who prefer fresh or homemade options.

Do most people allow their animals to eat from kitchen utensils?

Most people don’t, and for good reason ,animals’ mouths carry bacteria that can contaminate cooking utensils. It’s usually best to keep pet items separate from anything used for food preparation to stay safe and hygienic.

I add pecans and bake in the oven. Finishing with a brown crust on top. ❤️❤️❤️

Love that idea! Pecans would add great texture, and finishing it in the oven for that brown crust sounds amazing. It’s those little touches that really make a dish stand out. ❤️

What in the arteriosclerosis is this?

Lol, I see what you mean! It does look heavy, but not everything has to be super healthy all the time. As long as it’s occasional, people can enjoy it without worrying too much.

This looks great but the dog licking the spoon killed the vibe.

Uhhhm…no thanks, it looks gross, sounds gross, so if I’m going to eat that much fat and calories (literally an instant heart attack/stroke), it will be from something a lot more worth it!! 🤮

Haha, I get it! That dish is definitely very rich and not for everyone . Some people enjoy indulgent foods occasionally, but it’s totally fine to skip it if it doesn’t appeal to you. Everyone has their own idea of worth it when it comes to treats.

This is the weirdest looking dude I have ever seen. 🤣🤣🤣

Romantic one

Looks horrible

😲 that’s a heart attack in a slow cooker!! All the artificial sweeteners on top of the carbs and sugar!🤢 It’s just a dry, overly sweetened Bread and Butter Pudding!

That’s a strong reaction! It does sound quite sweet, but desserts like this are usually meant as an occasional treat. Everyone has different taste preferences, and some people enjoy richer, sweeter dishes more than others.

I couldn’t get past the dog licking that spoon. Like… is that sanitary???

I get your reaction. Pets are great, but mixing them with cooking utensils raises hygiene concerns. It’s usually best to keep anything used for food prep separate from pets.

Right. Thank u for that 🫶🏾

My pleasure

Nothing but carbs and calories. Major hard pass for me.

Fair enough! It’s definitely rich in carbs and calories, so not for everyone. Choosing what fits your lifestyle and preferences is what matters most.

Pro tip for mess-free mixing: Keep your upper arm tucked firmly against your body (elbow in). Stir using only your forearm for rock-steady control—you’ll never spill.

Love this! Using your forearm with your elbow in gives much better control and reduces spills. Little tips like this make a big difference in keeping your kitchen clean and your mixing smooth.

I think this looks good. And yes, I will let my dog lick my spoon. And if people are not familiar with these people, they always put something weird in their refrigerator just for a laugh.

I usually move past these, but this is a hard no. Here's a bread pudding recipe you will likely want to try.

Hello diabetes!🤢

Not fair

Raw eggs for the dogs. M’kay!

Some people do give raw eggs to dogs for extra protein, but it’s always best to be careful and check what’s safe. Not every dog reacts the same, so it’s good to consult a vet before making it a regular thing.

Australia, I make it almost the same. Butter the bread both sides. Spread with strawberry jam. Leave out the pumpkin. Put in in a buttered baking pan. Cook on low heat 165C for 2 hours or until a skewer comes out clean. My mum made this all the time. It’s Great Depression food. No waste.

That sounds wonderful! 😊 Buttering both sides and adding strawberry jam must give it such a rich, comforting flavor. I love the history behind it too. simple, no-waste recipes like that really stand the test of time.

@Trinny61 U don’t need all the sugar

@DrPaiwanFan True, it’s a forgiving dish. You can add sugar to taste. Any type of sugar is fine. I use white or raw. Raw sugar adds a unique flavour.

@Iluvs2fishChris Absolutely! It’s a very forgiving dish, and adjusting sugar to taste makes it even better. Raw sugar does add a deeper, slightly caramel-like flavor compared to white sugar, nice choice!

NAIR in the fridge???!!!!

The dog licking her spoon. That’s why we don’t eat from you people.

🤮 🤮 wouldn't eat at her house let the dam dogs lick the spoons

This is why we don’t eat at everyone’s house. Your dog is NOT to lick the utensils. Period!

A carton of cream? A tin of mashed pumpkin? Only in America.

Haha, it does have that classic American-style convenience vibe! Prepackaged ingredients are pretty common there for quick cooking. Different countries just have different ways of doing things , it doesn’t always mean better or worse.

I feel like I got diabetes from watching this.

So a shit version of bread and butter pudding? Got it.
