2000 watts is not enough to run microwave & hair dryer c'mon you need more than that.

Doubt it produces 2kW very often (obviously not all the time) and it wouldn't power a house no. It might offset some costs depending on how you're metered. Anyways it's a different "blade" configuration only. Still not a bad thing.

DYOR always. After 5 mins research, its not 2000 watts, just 125W.

So what happens in the dead of summer when it's 95 to 98 degrees and 6 days of no wind?

I believe 1.5 kWH is not enough to run a house, at peak. Ovens/hairdryers/washer/dryer gets you well into 3-4 kWH range. Good rule of thumb is 3.5 kWH.

2kw is not 2kwh — it would need to run at peak wind speed for every second in the hour to generate 2kwh. Wind does not blow at peak 24/7 At best you would likely gain 0.1kwh on avg over time wind being 5% of fullspeed — i.e often much slower or not at all over days

Even high-performance wind gens produce 400-500 watts at max output and they use heavy blades and coils that only turn w/ wind above a certain speed. There’s no way this small unit produces anything approaching these. Wind gens are great for supplemental power on vans or boats.

The maximum power you can extract from a wind turbine is proportional to de surface exposed and the square of the wind speed and the Betz law reduces the maximum efficiency to around 50% This generator is too small to provide enough power for even a toaster.
