You know, there's something about being a Yoruba that makes it easy for one to choose making peace over making a point with trouble. Some people misconstrued this as cowardice. But we know that 'Surulere' (patience) is profitable. This old woman has shown understanding, cool-headedness, and how sensible Yorubas are when approaching an annoying situation. And when they decide to blow up, you must know they have had enough. For example, if this wasn't a prank and the lady tries this again, definitely the old woman would call her out because she would know she's just taking advantage of her. She reflected on the Bible's description of calmness: “A calm heart gives life to the body.” ~ Proberbs1 4:30. “A calm tongue is a tree of life, But twisted speech causes despair.” ~ Proverbs 15:4 “A man of knowledge restrains his words, And a discerning man will remain calm (in this case, a woman).” ~ Proverbs 17:27
