Happens almost everyday in our Tier 1 Trauma Centers around the country. There is a severe mental health crisis occurring and it’s getting worse. - I’ve seen humans sit, roll, walk around and sleep completely covered in their own feces. Only to watch them ask strangers for cigarettes, walk to and from the emergency room a dozen times with both medical professionals and security professionals bound by ridiculous laws that prevent the hospital from holding them and law enforcement restricted in options to help and handle the human in crisis. These people are insane, have no employable capability, no family yet they have a Medicaid # they treat like an @AskAmex card or an ADA card they leverage against the hospital. It’s a sick system they know they can exploit along with being “insane”
