I remember one mama in our house then, her husband is a taxi driver and everyday we hear them quarreling, why cus she feels her husband isn’t doing enough. He pays the children school fees, rent and even food. But somehow it still not enough. When he di”d……the house stopped functioning Two of four children dropped out of school, even feeding was difficult. The husband may not be perfect but he was a great provider who married ingrate of a wife. I honestly don’t like the “my money is mine, his money is ours talk”. I wasn’t brought up like that. Like it or not, husband and wife are primary supporters….if you aren’t supporting your husband you don’t deserve that man! Except he is not a good man.

You don’t even have to wait till your man is down before you support him, any bills in the house that you know you have the capacity to pay for, just pay for it without asking your man. Even the husband will respect you more , instead of just being in his life with no single support.

Exactly you don't even need to wait till his downtime you get it, little bills in the house you can take care of them by yourself without asking the man and wanting a refund of it. It is your family you are contributing in taking care of this should be common knowledge

When my dad business was not moving.. my mom will go and sell ice cream and bring all the money to my dad. Even when it was good she had sales in business she would buy foodstuff in the House with her money she cooked, cleaned and took care of the house without my dad helping
