More than 100k bundles of fresh bread are already being distributed daily. Lifelines are ready — with more access, we can scale up and ensure food reaches the most vulnerable.

As Sudan faces an ongoing famine, World Food Programme Executive Director Cindy McCain says it’s “even more challenging” to get aid trucks to where they need to go as the country experiences a lot of rain right now. Earlier this month, one of WFP’s convoys was also attacked while delivering aid in Sudan. “It’s the safe access that we need to have, and like other places, full, unfettered access, as well, and in a safe manner for our people delivering the food,” McCain says.
