I'm glad to see the intuitive experiments on angular momentum and torque. Experiments are the most important, they can establish physical intuition. Don't rush to start with formulas.

He is an amazing professor ( Prof. Walter Lewin), I watched all his Engineering and Magnetism lectures. Unfortunately though, he is accused of some bad things.

@CSI_Starbase Well he’s Dutch! I am biased in that regard, but put a Dutch Professor in MIT, and that’s what happens. 🧡🦁🧡

My first-year physics professor @MemorialU did this exact demonstration in class in 1982. I remember his name because of it: Dr. Nathan Rich. After a quick search, I learned he passed away in 2019 at age 80. I never thanked him, but I became an engineer because of that class.🫡

It's amazing and awesome. The theory is available for making the Gyro-tourbillon mechanism which prevents the gravity error in time measurement.
