When a was a kid, my daddy used to tromp down the snow in half our backyard and water it every night to build us an ice rink every year! Best daddy ever!

This was my childhood, except our dad's flooded the trails but we had to maintain them. Snow Shovels and push grass mower with a propane tank to heat the blade. We had tiki torches along trails, it was glorious fun

Who else was surprised by the ending there?? 😳😳😳 I did NOT expect the Zamboni! 😳😳😳🤣🤣🤣

I wonder if people who have rhythm; people who can dance and skate so marvelously, know how blessed they are, or do they think everyone can dance? Everyone would probably like to, but not everyone can. 😭.

Dreamy! Only thing missing are some twinkling Christmas lights and hanging lanterns above the track! …… and maybe some hot chocolate & hot cheese fondue afterwards 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❄️

The one I go to is in Quebec. It's absolutely magical, and there are many animals along the way. You can feed deer, amusement, goats, donkeys ... it's amazing!

A zamboni is cheating, but I'll allow it! In HS, our principal cancelled school one day and we all skated thru the woods to a big clearing for a mass hockey game. The ice wound thru the woods in a funnel shape because the stream level had dropped. Best memory of HS.

I used to be able to do all that on roller skates, but I’ve never been able to even stand on ice skates - or even rollerblades - let alone actually get any skating done. The skills for one apparently do not automatically transfer over to the other.

Some little lights embedded in the snow next to the trail would be amazing.

Oh my gosh! Yes, ice skating like this would be so much fun! It's adventurous! And your not just going in a circle! Just need warm up locations on this trail. Oh, ice sleds for little ones to enjoy too!
