Mid March is peak baby birthing time for foxes, so right now these new mums are feeding lots of little mouths, so are extra hungry. And the dads are desperately looking for food to take home to mums who can't yet leave the den and their new cubs. So please be patient with them. They won't harm the hedgehogs, they just need food. A raw egg in its shell makes an easy takeaway meal for them. And dog or cat food, wet or dry, or dog treats, will give them the extra nutrition and calories they need. Use a heavy dish, or pin it down (as shown in the video below) as they will try to steal it. I always imagine them thinking, "This dish is magic! It refills with food every night. If take it home I'll never have to go out looking for food again!" 😊

This woman is staying at this hotel and resort. It’s all inclusive, everything is included but the weird thing is, she has to eat or drink the items in the designated areas for food and drink. She has access to a beautiful balcony that is more private and she wanted to enjoy the food there. The resort said no, she had to eat it only in the dining areas. So she took the food and stuffed it in her purse and took it to the balcony anyways. An employee saw her and accused her of stealing the food. If this is an all inclusive resort, how is it stealing if it’s all included anyways right?

(onew says yes) why?? 😲 ... ah it's manners but still, if u have a partner, this is manners so it's fine, but i would prioritize/care more for my girlfriend. it's like, oh i saw (the friend) enjoying the food, "that person liked the side dish" n "do i really have to take care of that person" i understand up to this point, then i'd wonder "why do that action?". u see, my girlfriend is right next to me, n my girlfriend might not like it, so why would i still deliberately push it (side dish) over like that. 🤨 (ohh the way wendy says "my girlfriend", hahahaha 🥰🤩🩵)

Hedgehogs in particular need to drink a lot of water because of their shape: they have a large surface area to volume ratio, so lose water via natural evaporation quicker than other mammals. Their mouths are set back under their snout, so drinking from a deep or small diameter dish (like a Gü pot) is uncomfortable for them, as it means them having to submerge their nose. A wide shallow dish is best; a plant pot saucer or, like this, a glass flan dish or pyrex lid - it's heavy enough not to tip up but nice and shallow and wide. So please put out a dish of life saving water right now, front and back of your house, and refresh it before you go to bed tonight. It'll be the easiest way you'll ever save a life.💝

Another pasta dish, but this is a little ‘dirty’. Why make regular spaghetti when you can make a Louisiana favorite. Start with the trinity, add some slap your mama, a bay leaf and end with more flavor than you can imagine. I know I will have some traditionalist come after me over this, but here in Da Bayou, we are always going to make it our own🥰 Are you always a traditionalist when it comes to your recipes or do you shake it up a little bit every now and then?

In some cultures, they call this “Ashura” dish as “Noah’s dessert” They believe that the Prophet Noah was the first to invent it when the food on the ship began to run out. So he collected the leftovers and cooked them in a pot together. It’s not very different from what we are going through.. we don’t have the luxury of picking luxurious ingredients. So I made Ashure from what was available As this year ends, I pray that a solution is found in the upcoming one, and our suffering could end.

My heart hurts watching this. My kids are doing everything they are supposed to do. Working. Showing up. Trying. And still watching their hours disappear. Still stressed about things kids should not have to carry this early. What hurts the most is knowing it is not just them. It is their friends too. An entire generation trying to get a foothold and finding the ground slipping underneath them. I worry about them. About the pressure they are under. About the future they are being handed. They are not lazy. They are not entitled. They are trying. And I think every parent feels this right now, even if we do not always say it out loud. All I want is for them to have a fair chance. 🔊 Spring is in the air, the daffodils are coming out, and so are the hedgehogs. Some of these hedgehogs haven't eaten for 5 months. Yes, five whole months. Amazing, isn't it? But the insects they depend upon remain slumbering deep beneath the earth, which is still freezing at night. This is Arthur, who went into hibernation in October. He rose from hibernation a couple of nights ago, and used the last of his energy to get back here, where he trusted he would find good safe food and clean water. And he wasn't disappointed. Please make sure you have food out waiting for your returning hedgehogs. And if you haven't fed hedgehogs before, now is a great time to start. All you need is a dish of dry kitten food and a dish of clean water. More of Arthur last year:

Unless you are really rich. When I started in 2 years it was also impossible to get to this level. They were so expensive. So difficult to get one, so, of course, it's a luxury thing. No cheap, so getting user was difficult special with the whole crypto winter. But now we all what the prices are so its acceptable to almost anyone. and honestly, as long #veve is still alive I will be a buyer. It does not cost me anything to carry in my phone. for a few years now and it is fun. and the feel of my own is cool. With the good stuff, don't let short think to win. Enjoy them. And make noise..
