One of the most remarkable comebacks ever... Little Neo was only a puppy when he was hit by a car and crawled into a bush to hide. His spine was broken and maggots were eating his wound. My friend Sybille has been building him back up. Safe to say he was having fun today...

Do you remember the Bald Eagle who struck a power line or pole. The eagle was rescued by our volunteer and it was discovered that he suffered a break in his shoulder area. Luckily, with our care he made a full uncomplicated recovery and was successfully returned to the wild!

He is Dhanda Nyoliwala, Haryanvi Rapper. His real name is Parveen Dhanda and he was born into a Jat family in Haryana. He was a national level javelin thrower but he suffered a severe spinal injury around 2014–2016 that left him bedridden for years and he didn’t get any support from BJP govt due to which his sports career ended. During recovery, he turned to music. Few days back, he has released a song “Vomit on Paper” in which he has taken shots at the BJP government and fake babas like Baba Bageshwar. We need such awareness, we need such artists. Finally some artist has come after a long time who showed spine Thank you Dhanda Nyoliwala.

Little Red is officially back home! 🥹❤️‍🩹 Last week he was terrified and dealing with severe growths - we honestly thought he was going to lose his eye. But one operation later, our amazing vet team removed the tumours, his pain is gone, and he is back to his happy self! We dropped him back with his guardians today and he was absolutely chuffed. You did it, Little Red!

This is the story of Arthur the Brave, a courageous little rhino who was rescued in 2018. At just four weeks old, poachers brutally killed his mother, and this tiny Rhino calf tried to protect her. For his bravery, he received multiple machete wounds to his back and foot. Fortunately, rangers found him in time and immediately brought him to Care For Wild Rhino Sanctuary, where he was admitted to the ICU for an extensive period of intensive care and wound treatment. Despite his severe injuries, Arthur was a little ray of sunshine from the very first day. He quickly learned to trust his care team, patiently allowing them to clean and dress his wounds while he happily drank his bottle. He has come a very long way over the years. Today, all that remains of Arthur’s traumatic start to life is the scar on his back. A constant reminder that courage can outlast fear, that bravery can overcome evil, and that we must continue to fight for those who have no voice. 🎦 Credit: Care For Wild Rhino Sanctuary #careforwild #careforwildrhinosanctuary #arthur #arthurthebrave

Four years ago today, we rescued Mwinzi at the height of the drought. He was barely alive, a comatose calf dwarfed by the parched landscape. Then he chomped down on his rescuer’s finger – and we knew there was life in him yet! On his fourth #Rescueversary, we recognise just how far Mwinzi has come. Now a sturdy, sunny young bull, he has graduated to Ithumba, where he is taking the next steps on his journey back to the wild. Learn more:

When Bruno was rescued, he was so terrified that he seemed almost paralyzed by fear. He trembled, barely dared to move, and had a terrified look in his eyes. He completely distrusted people, possibly because he had suffered severe abuse in the past. Angela devoted a great deal of time, patience, and love to helping Bruno. Little by little, he began accepting food from her hand, then gradually found the courage to come closer, and eventually opened his heart to love. Bruno’s transformation was remarkable: from a dog frozen with fear to a happy boy who wagged his tail with joy and learned to trust people again. After his recovery, Bruno was adopted by a forever family who would love and care for him. ❤️🐶

💔 Update on our old boy rescued from beneath the rocks… He survived days trapped beneath rocks, starving, dehydrated, and in shock. We managed to stabilise him, but his condition is heartbreaking. Our old gentleman is around 12 years old and has suffered years of neglect.

Tytan has come a long way since the wild little calf who arrived in our care last September. 🦏 This morning, he was thoroughly enjoying his private dust bath – rubbing and rolling to his heart’s content as he caked himself in a protective layer of mud. It’s wonderful to see how far he’s come – and how much he’s grown – when we think back to the frightened calf who survived alone for two days after his mum accidentally fell to her death. Discover his story and support Tytan’s journey back to a fully wild life by adopting him this #FosterFriday:
