This makes perfect sense that crime would have dropped by at least 18% when the police were defunded by $33 million. Less cops means less arrests. Less arrests also means that crime has dropped. It's a case of "mind over matter." If the DA and politicians don't mind, then it doesn't matter.

The 18 year old, Justin Suarez, is seen open carrying a standard AR build which he calls an "m16." When asked about it he cites the fact that he has "seen a lot of violence" in the Kensington area of Philly and essentially is looking to defend himself. You can even see police officers walking by behind the young man holding the rifle and not batting an eye. You were always allowed to open carry WITHOUT a Permit in the rest of the state of Pennsylvania, but as of 2025 a PA Supreme Court decision NULLIFIED a special ordinance within Philadelphia city limits BANNING your right to self-defense.
