We have failed our youth and their education. Met a Junior in college today who had not heard of: 1. The Iron Curtain 2. East or West Germany 3. Shah of Iran 4. Iran Embassy Hostages 5. Gadson Purchase OR 6. The Bill of Rights. (Nursing student)

My 7-year-old homeschooled grandson can read that easily. He also has beautiful penmanship in both cursive and print. There's no valid reason to dumb down our youth.

Kids in elementary schools now are learning cursive… and will outcompete this dumba$$ Gen Z
